You don't need talent to break into the industry anymore...so the quality suffers. I believe there's as much good music as there was before...there's just a lot more weak shit that makes it harder to find the good music.
straight up, then goes for everything. Anybody can come out with anythin, and somebody somewhere's finna buy it point blank period. As long as ppl's bumpin bullshit, bullshit will be pushed

Bay Area production is "NOT" garbage/trash as a whole. Are the beats that E-40, B-Legit, San Quinn, Messy Marv (his real albums), or Black C rap over trash? Are the beats that Keyshia Cole sings over trash?

The problem is technology. Computers, Computer Programs (Fruity Loops ruined it), Cheap Mics, Cheap Mixers and Ect. Anyone can record a cd now. Anyone can get on the Computer and Make a "BEAT". Fruity Loops and Acid Pro can be downloaded for free.

There are real producers out there. People that are truly trained like Khayree Shaheed and Rob Lo. They don't make beats, they produce songs. Drums, Basslines, Chords, Strings, fully produced tracks. There are great beat makers too. The homie Black C still to this day makes some nice beats, Mac from Mac & A.K, E.A. Ski & CMT,Tone Capone, Sam Bostic, Flaggs (Land Of Da Lost), T.C., Nick Peace, Indecent, it can go on and on.

If some young catz want to make some beats on the computer and record some vocals on the computer and send it off to get pressed up and they can get them in the stores and people actually purchase it. I wish them the best. Much Success. More then likely though they will maybe try it a second time and then they will disappear. They won't be able to afford to keep putting out music that doesn't bring them a profit back or even break them or mommy and daddy even. So they won't hurt the region on a National scale.

They say the Cream rises to the Top. And that is why we still have people like E-40, B-Legit, Dubee, Mac Mall, Black C, Andrea' Nickatina, Khayree, Tone Capone, Nick Peace, Sean T, E.A. Ski and Ect. still winning and controlling our region to this day.

Traxamillion, Rob Lo, Droop-E, Gennessee, Indecent, Maki, AP.9, Jacka, Husalah, Ryda, Fed-X, Dubb-20, Mistah F.A.B, Balance, Krypto, The Frontline, San Quinn, Lil Quinn, Messy Marv, Beeda Weeda, J-Stalin, Acktup and Ect are our Future out here, they are the ones that will carry the tourch, and look at that line up. You think that tourch will go out? Naw not that flame! We're on point!

theres definitly a gang of wack ass producers these days....way too many people with fruityloops tryna get beats off

Nobe productions....fucks wit it
Fruity Loops combined with HARDWARE and something to mixdown in is one of the BEST setups u can have --- FRUITY LOOPS has evolved into a full fledge production suite...

the problem is fuckin amateurs.

AND WANNABE PRODUCERS NEED TO UNDERSTAND

YOU GOTTA HAVE ALL YOUR TOOLS AND A PROPER SETUP IF YOU EVER WANNA PRODUCE A SONG.

MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU NEED THE KNOWLEDGE OF MUSIC.

YOU CAN'T HAVE SOMEONE HOP ON YOUR BULLSHIT BEAT AND CALL IT PRODUCTION

THINGS HAVE TO WORK HAND IN HAND--- BEAT HAS TO COMPLEMENT THE VOCALS AND VICE VERSA! AND THEN YOU HAVE A HIT...
I've said it A MILLION FUKKIN TIMES

PRODUCTION VALUE IS EVERYTHING--- AND THE BAY HASN'T SEEN MUCH OF ANY FOR DAYS

people TRUST ME--- if i had a studio and i did that shit all day instead of fuckin doin school for bioengineering...

ALL I'D BE DOIN IS MAKIN SLAPS HARD AS ANYTHING.

but i got all these other fuckin obligations...

thas life tho =/ i just make beats for the damn bedroom audience cuz this music shit is impossible if you aint got DOUGH

CUZ IF YOU AINT GOT DOUGH NOBODY BIGTIME FUKKIN WIT YOU.
I fukkin learned that shit... when i first heard rappers be chargin lesser known producers for the verses instead of the up n comin producer dudes gettin paid... shit was a hit to my dreams... i thought u could come up with just the knowledge and creativity and startin on some bootleg shit... but naw it aint like that... you gotta have DOOOOUGHHH to get started in the production game for real... either that or just mad connections--- of which i have neither nor do i have the time to go n live for this music shit... fuck school mayn... but nah i can't really say that right now...

but this fucking FLOODED ASS MARKET needs to fucking die...

downloadin fruity loops cuz you wanna be creative is all good-- but when you put out bullshit THATS when i'm mad and callin you a waste of a fuckin computer

Whatever happened to Khayree? I loved everything he made back in the 90's! Am I sleepin' on some of his recent work?

I think these weak ass kids with big allowances paying for features on their weak projects has something to do with it also. Siccness itself has a good number of rappers that are recording garbage that bring nothing new to the table but these same "artists" and I use that term loosely, are so quick to jump on the next man saying he's weak. I took some time the other day and listened to Savy Sosa (N JAIL U MY HOE), he's on here all the time. His production sounds like it was made on a Casio keyboard and his raps were kindergarten at best and he only rhymed sometimes. I'm not saying that to say that I'm so tight or I'm so much better but as a fan I think he should practice more. It took Eminem a long time to get at the level he attained so it's no rush.

I agree, technology made it easy for anyone to make beats, record and rap. There's a difference betweena PRODUCER and a BEAT MAKER. A producer will work with the artist and give direction to making a hit song. A beat maker will just make beats with no 'concept'. I pride myself as a producer. You could get beats from anyone these days for cheap! I charge $200 and UP for my beats because I'm delivering high quality beats with hooks, bridges, intros and song concepts! A good rapper will know the difference between garbage beats verses DOPE PRODUCERS.

Its funny because when rap and sampling came to be, people that were considered old school knocked the newer cats for using the technology. They said that anyone could sample and rhyme to it and make hit music. I bet it feels bad when shit you like or methods you used is considered old school.

IMO it is never about the tools it is aout the person using the tools. There will be and has always been garbage product and quality product. When the fan begins to demand quality they will get it. Garbage is being pushed to the forefront, but the fan can't fall for it. Bay area artists have to put muisic out that shuts the weak shit down. Make other niggaz embarrased to make music.

Same things with shows. Bay area rappers gotta do shows that shut weak niggaz down. Turn wanna be rappers into fans. Bay artists will come out with something tight, and then try to capitalize off of that with music thats not of the same quaility. You get lazy, then you have every nigga with a rough life that sold a rock thinking they can rap.

artist need to go outside of the bay. There are producers everywhere in the world. Artist need to learn how to be original and stop wanting to sound like such and such and be creative. With all of the resources out there to find hungry producers there should be way more quality music then there is on the shelves.
