Like CHRISHOGG14 it is very accurate to the bible which is the best thing Mel could of done. When it comes to the contoversy part this will always come up when going back to history & this is history. If you were to do a movie on the Vietnam War, Slavery, American Indian War, J.F.K. etc there always shows an antogonist. In here though the Jews are targeted becuase its in their homeland, but like the bible shows & the movies is what JESUS says, "Forgive them Lord for they know not what they do" They high priest then felt that all the healing Jesus was doing couldnt be done humanly & that it he was helped by demon spirits or withcraft. So in a way you can't blame them they just didnt know. Theres alot more too it but even today we do the same thing I use to not believe in God, use to think church was fake until I really got touched by HIM in '97 then became a true believer & have been saved ever since.. Sorry for being so long on this homies just wanted to speak my heart!

i work at the Century Northgate theaters in San Rafael...15 screens. we're gettin the movie on 5 OF THEM.

for real though, check this.

-as an employee, i cant give my opinion about the movie. I HAVE to tell customers i havent seen the movie.
-the press is not allowed on theater grounds without a ticket.
-the press cannot interview employees, take pictures of anyone on theater grounds, or interview customers on theater grounds.

also, on an average wednesday, expected attendance is about 800 people, and we never come close, we usually hit about 600. for this movie, we're expecting 4200 people. thats a whole fucking lot. as of last nite, 2000 people had already bought tickets for Passion.

talk about controversy.

I was talkin with my homeboy before i even knew this was comin out, and I said, why doesn't someone put the effort that they put into a movie like Lord of the rings, and tell the greatest story ever told? You know you would get your money back, and make a huge profit.......sure enough someone did lol

Caveziel suffered all kinds of shit during the filming of the movie.
The dislocated shoulder while carying the cross and yes he was hit by lightning while they were shooting the Sermon on the Mount....

Oh yeah, Pilot isn't shown as a good guy in the movie. That's just Jewish bullshit. According to the gospels, Pilot had nothing against Jesus and only crucified him cuz that's what the people wanted. And he being the proud Roman that he was, he had to please the public by killing Jesus. It was politics, he did it only to stay popular. That in itself was selfish shit when you think about it.

For the record, no one killed Jesus!
His mission was to die....

I'm almost sure that Mel had to feel like God was directing him for something of this magnitude, this could potentially hold as much weight as a book in the bible, even though it is about the gospels in the bible, you know what i mean.

No, you don't have to go to church, but you do have to be saved to get to heaven according to the bible, and it is extremely helpful in your walk with God to find yourself in Christian company, and to hear God's anointing through a pastor.

Yeah no need for religion but some do need some sort of help.
Gotta keep your gaurd up though cuz there's many muthafuckas preaching false shit. Best thing is to go to the source itself, the bible....

As for God speaking to Mel, well it's possible. You ever listen to your conscious, better yet, you ever paid attention to your subconscious? That gut feelin inside you always knows better than you. It is my theory that, that feelin inside is actually the same source who people call God....
