damn it panda grounds into a double play and its game over

Between him and Molina the double plays are out of hand. Panda has no discipline but gets a break because of his personality it seems.

but molina's penguin ass does not even hustle. When posey got that hit with 0 outs and they hit and ran, molina hit and watched while hobbling his chalupa ass to first. I'm about done with him

Panda is hitting real sloppy right now, I think everyone should ease up off trying to hit every single ball out of the Park, after all we're not a team built for HR's, hit them into the gaps and start running, bunt the runner over, do all the small things.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ one problem there not built to run either. Nate and Torres are the only ones with any speed. Look at the infeild some nights this year. Huff, Uribe, Renteria, Panda and Molina. You throw Cain out there and thats some real speed. You gotta be 280 to play for the Giants.

Speed is speed, the guys I mentioned can score from 1st on an rbi single (if deep enough) or a double.
i beg to differ with that statement in general......under the right circumstances its possible, but not likely...for example

1. there are 2 outs and runner is off on contact

2. it was a hit and run....

outside of that i bet none of the Giants score from 1st on a SINGLE (that would be a tough task for even Carl Crawford).....and unless its hit in the Right-Center corner at AT&T with Bengie Molina running (everyone else its a triple) i still dont see them scoring on a double either, unless of course scenarios 1 and/or 2 occurred......and in those cases just about every1 at the Major League level should be scoring.......

^^ I see it happen alot with Torres, Velez, Sanchez, haven't seen Posey do it yet HUFF hit an inside the park homerun in his first "HR" for the Giants, he's always hitting gaps because the park is too big as u know it.

Huff's HR has nothing to do with speed....thats more a matter of no1 being able to field a ball off of a bad bouce and/or gamble on the part of the defense

Velez isnt on the roster......sanchez (not as fast as you may think) hasnt played much and he wont score on a single....torres wont score on a single.....

like i said unless its a 2-out double or a hit n run double.....no1 from the Giants is scoring from 1st base..............i even doubt anyone on the Dodgers could pull that feat off, and we got speed......Kemp, Furcal, Martin.....

Pat Burrell is "likely" to join the Giants in Pittsburgh, according to CSN Bay Area's Mychael Urban.
Burrell, 33, was inked to a minor league contract last week and the Giants already believe that he can help their struggling offense. He's unlikely to start many games in the outfield, but could be a nice late-inning presence off the bench in possible RBI situations. John Bowker is likely to be demoted.

The Giants still haven't decided what to do about Jeremy Affeldt (hamstring).
Affeldt has pitched just once since May 23 due to the hamstring injury, but retweaked the ailment in that outing. "He's not quite making the improvement we would like, or he would like, so we'll see how he's doing after the game and talk about his situation," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. The Giants are seriously thinking about placing Affeldt on the disabled list.

Has nothing to do with speed huh? so he just crawled there I guess..... smh

and remember i said DEEP single and double, remember this is ATT park not Minute Maid park. Ur making it seem like I said from first on a shallow blooper and these guys run 4.2 40's.

they are NOT scoring on a "DEEP SINGLE".............unless it was a hit and run or there were 2 outs..............plain and simple.........

i know its AT&T...............still not happening.......

and about the 4.2 40's........im going to make that a 6.3 60...because baseball doesnt measure speed in 40's.....they use 60's.............

i HIGHLY DOUBT any1 on the Giants roster touches 6.3........thats Ichiro type speed........i mean i havent seen enough of Velez and Torres....Furcal use to touch 6.3 back in his young and healthy days............not anymore.......and i know the Giants arent faster than him! lol

Thank you, see still possible.

check out this video @ 2:04, you can clearly see the batter (Sandoval I believe, hits the ball in the gap between RF and CF, Torres scores from 1st!.

both the examples above and below show a runner scoring from 1st on a DOUBLE...................still waiting for a batter to score on a SINGLE as you stated.........

Further proof: this game was last year, 7/25/2009 in that video above, there was 1 out.. it was hit past Dexter Fowler in the outfield.. there was 1 out when Torres scored from 1st!

proof:

link: incase you think im photoshopping..

here are my words.....you continue to ignore the fact that you said they score from 1st base on a SINGLE...............i have disputed that and you continue to ignore that........and post as proof players scoring from 1st base on DOUBLES.................

i beg to differ with that statement in general......under the right circumstances its possible, but not likely...for example

^^ did you not say that?

You ignore the fact I said deep single AND doubles. I just posted a scenario proving the quote above that you said they wont score on a double either, that happened.

And that was 1 out for you too, not two and from the looks of it and I remember that game, it wasn't a hit and run play, Torres is just that fast.

I will post a video when I can find one, of a runner scoring from a single/deep single, for now you'll have to eat your words on the above quote.
