that velocity with that movement is just filthy, did Jimenez have this stuff last year cause he came out of nowhere to me??
ya, the only difference between this year and the last couple for Jimenez (a young pitcher) was command....the stuff has always been there but he has been wild and hasnt had the command to locate his pitches like he has this year

Ubaldo been dealing but like dodger boy said he's been hidin in the rotation for the last couple years, this is the first yr he's the #1. His control is much better and when you throw 99 and your changeup is 89 with control of them both with a curve it's lights out.

Mark DeRosa (wrist) was 0-for-4 in his first minor league rehab game with Single-A San Jose on Monday.
Worse yet, he grounded into two double plays. The Giants will keep an eye on the results, but they are more focused on the condition of his left wrist. He'll likely need to test it with a few more games before the Giants will considering bringing him back.

Mark DeRosa (wrist) has decided to shut down his rehab for a few days.
He was unhappy with the way his wrist responded at Single-A San Jose, so he'll try again later this week. It was probably a longshot anyway, but DeRosa will not be activated from the disabled list on Friday. In fact, it might not be long before he opts for surgery.

Jeremy Affeldt (hamstring) is unavailable for Tuesday's game against the Rockies.
Affeldt returned to action on Sunday after a lengthy absence due to the very same injury, but Giants manager Bruce Bochy said that the team is now seriously thinking about placing him on the disabled list.

The nastiest to me is the fastball with movement, his 2 seam and 4 seam is crazy.
