some good news, since reports earlier today said that after they discovered a 3rd broken bone in his face he was gonna need surgery.
Aaron Rowand will not require surgery to repair broken bones in his face.
The news came after he met with doctors in San Francisco on Sunday. Rowand sustained three fractures in his cheekbone after taking a Vicente Padilla fastball to the head on Friday. His vision is improving and his headaches have subsided, so he can resume baseball activities while he is on the disabled list. He should be able to return in early May.
