So door #1 suggests that it is the individuals responsibility to escape the laws which force him to pay homage to an entity that he doesn't believe exists. Does door #2 lead to a place whereby the individual bites his tongue and acts as though he believes in order to retain his place in society and avoid having to translocate himself and adapt to a different society with different laws? It would probably just be easier to go with the flow than make such huge life changes - it depends on how much you are opposed to worshipping this God.
