PRYOR doesn't have any PRIOR starts in the NFL...
lol. Hue has something up his sleeve. He probably put together some packages for Pryor and will open the game with them with all this talk about Boller and Palmer. The man knows how to pull rabbits out the hat. Thats makes a little girl like you giggle, huh? I can only imagine what you would do if I slapped you in the face with my cack puta....

I'd love to keep him here as a back up but unfortunately we all know theres maybe 3 other teams out there who would start him

There is no better left tackle in the league right now than Veldheer.

dude has been GREAT for us.. everything Bust Gallery shoulda been w/o tha big paycheck!

Raiders left tackle Jared Veldheer vs. Chiefs outside linebacker Tamba Hali -- There is no better left tackle in the league right now than Veldheer. He is playing especially well as a pass protector. Hali can be an explosive pass rusher off the edge. He seems to be a guy who gets into a groove once he beats a tackle once or twice. Veldheer has to handle him to make it possible for Carson Palmer to make big plays in the passing game.

JC must plan for career elsewhere

Injured Oakland quarterback Jason Campbell discussed on Friday the stunning turn of events that have put his future in flux Friday with a Bay Area radio station.

Campbell stayed his usual classy course. He did admit he was stunned by this week’s events. Campbell is the NFL’s current poster boy for how brutal and unforgiving the league can be as a business.

Campbell, 29, was enjoying success in his second season as the Raiders’ quarterback. The free-agent-to-be was likely on his way to earning a contract extension. Then he broke his collarbone last Sunday. Everything changed.

Jason Campbell's future is up in the air after breaking his collarbone against the Browns.
In an attempt to save the season, the Raiders committed to Carson Palmer for the long term by giving up a first-round pick in 2012 and a second-round pick that could become a first-round pick in 2013. Palmer, who’ll be 32 in December, is under contract in Oakland through the 2014 season. Assuming Palmer doesn’t suffer a major injury, there won’t be a starting job in Oakland for Campbell when he heals.

Campbell was recuperating from his Monday surgery when he watched the Raiders’ news conference announcing the Palmer trade Tuesday afternoon. Before the trade, Campbell had hope he could return in as soon as six weeks, although that appeared to be a very optimistic view.

“I was halfway still on pain medicine,” Campbell said of learning of the trade. “It was kind of a moment of silence. My fiancée looked at me to see if I was going to say something. There's different things that go through your mind but you don't want to fill your mind with those thoughts.”

Campbell said he will continue to stay positive.

"As a player in this league, you can't worry about the things that go on from a business side of it, the political side of it," Campbell said. "You know what you're worth, you know what you've done to help the franchise you've got here, and put us in the position we're in now."

Campbell said he discussed the situation with Oakland coach Hue Jackson on Friday. He said Jackson gave him reassurance.

"He was like, 'I still believe in you,” Campbell said of his chat with his coach. “We brought you here, and you've done everything we've asked you to do, you know, helped turn the franchise around. You're winning, you're playing good.'

"And he was like, 'Don't get frustrated and get caught up into the things that are being said as far as a political standpoint and what you're hearing from a day-to-day basis. Just focus on getting back healthy and move forward.'"

That’s great, but with Palmer now in Oakland, the only thing Campbell can realistically do is plan for his post-Oakland future.

That sucks for JC but at the end of the day it's business. He'll get a starting job somewhere else next year. Dolphins if they don't end up getting the first pick in the draft.

campbell better than palmer since 2008

What a tough week for Jason Campbell.

Oakland's starting quarterback was sidelined last Sunday with a broken collarbone in a win over the Browns, and then saw his future with the Raiders rocked with the team's blockbuster trade for Carson Palmer.

Campbell didn't hear about the trade until after it went down, and he told KGMZ-FM on Friday, via the San Francisco Chronicle, that coach Hue Jackson encouraged him to stay mentally tough.

"He said, 'Don't worry about any of those other things that's out there being said ... just worry about getting healthy. I still believe in you. ... Don't get frustrated,'" Campbell said.

Campbell described watching Palmer and Jackson sitting beside each other at Tuesday's press conference as "a moment of silence."

"You're hearing everything from the outside world and, you know ... it upsets you to a point, but same time, you've been in these shoes before," Campbell said. "You just don't ever know how things are going to happen or what's the plan behind things, and I say, you know what, don't get caught up in that."

Campbell has never won more than eight games in a season, but he was off to a promising start this year with an 84.2 passer rating for the 4-2 Raiders. He's generated an 84-plus rating every season since 2008. Palmer's last three seasons with the Bengals fielded ratings of 82.4 (2010), 83.6 (2009) and 69 (2008).

Sure, the Raiders aggressively pursued their man in Palmer. But if it weren't for Campbell's snapped collarbone, Palmer would still be lodged on his couch watching mind-numbing repeats of "Charles in Charge."

For Campbell, it's a very bad break.

out of 32 NFL teams I'm sure every team would choose Palmer > Campbell if they had to choose.. Jason was doing good for us but this def. wasn't a QB driven team.. now we got a REAL qb who can throw the deep ball and has accuracy.. our team just got that much more dangerous.. I hope Palmer and the team can "click" right away but regardless Carson will be our future for a couple of years.. and all I gotta say is this team will be much more of a threat now with a real nfl qb @ tha helm.. JC has been our most consistent QB since Gannon tho.. but hasn't been spectacular.. I was @ tha patriots game and I must say JC was fuckin up! hasn't been tha first time this season either despite our W-L record.. Dmac carries this team on his shoulder for tha offense.. and even in last years game if it wasn't for Jacoby Ford vs tha chiefs ( another game I was at ) we wouldn't have even sweeped the divison.. Ford single handedly saved Campbell.. not like we lost a savior here ppl.. our savior is Hue Jackson! and he's doin what's best for this team..

the only reason we haven't been calling out campbell this season, is because we're winning. if our record was 2-4, we would have been calling for his head. dude missed a lot of wide open shots and killed us in the pats game with those INTs.
