I'm just saying he is dead on about Kobe. I been watching Basketball since shit, I was born my nigga, so I seen Kobe since he was drafted and he has been groomed to be the next big thing. as the years went by he has had the refs in the palm of his hand. the only time they started calling shit on him is when he raped that one chick lol I guess they lil feelings got hurt. but after that it was all good again. kobe be throwing that randy savage-karl malone elbow too, and never gets called for it.

not just nene fouling out even though i think it should have been called on gasol. he initiated the contact. anthony got raped in the paint in the 4th quarter and didnt get a few calls when the game was close. put him at the line and it changes the game. regardless, it does go both ways. but to say the lakers didnt get favorable calls in the 4th, when it counts, is ludacrious.i didnt look at the stats but considering how soft the lakers SEEM to be in the paint, 49 free throws makes sense.

and yet it makes sense in game 4 for the nuggets to shoot 50 free throws or so and the lakers not get calls its the nba officiating if ur not used to it by now you aint watching the same league and games i be watching its been happening the whole playoffs get used to it its gonna continue to happen the refs in all sports are a bunch of rejects

The refs have been just awful in this series for 4 games, then last night they decided to keep their whistles in their pockets. Game 5 was the first time in the series that Billups didn't get those BS calls where he drives into a Laker defender and either flops or pushes off.

the nuggets drive to the basket...when you drive you get calls....yet last night they didnt get calls...in LA when LA would have backs against wall if they lost...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

i agree!! nuggets did play like shit, but when playing like shit and still beaing tied at start of 4th you cant beat lakers and refs at same time!

^ Denver had 5 chances to already have wrapped up this series. In game 3 & the 4th qtr of game 5 they did not play as well as they had in games 1, 2 & 4. The Lakers took advantage of these lapses to regain home court. Denver at some point had to win 2 games in a row and did not do so. And in the 4th qtr of game 5 the Lakers showed why they were the best team in the West during the regular season and the #1 seed.

they were best team in 4th quarter playing against a team down 2 starters because of foul troubles...but yeah you're right!

C'mon Nuggs and bandwagon fans, nuggs didn't lose due to officiating, nuggs made poor decisions and didn't shoot well in the fourth, plain and simple.

@ scary1- At the start of the 4th quarter why was Kenhyon Martin taking the first two shots(had shots). And where was Melo? On the bench-with no foul troubles or injury. These are the playoffs. You help your team more by having your multi-millionaire on the court than on the bench. I don't know about some of these players. Seems like they don't have heart.

well melo was sitting from playing most of game up to that point....martin i agree on, but someone had to shoot and up to that point kmart was hitting ok and actually had decent looks they just didnt fall. but say officiating played o part oin 4th qtr is completely absurd!

yep refs kept there whistles in there pocket when denver had the ball, but were using em on the lakers side denver is way more physical and lakers would not want to see them if they let em play old school, but since one of the nba golden child ain't gonna make it they gotta have it so the other one does so they can make money
