He's lyrical in a sense, yes. But he's not on a level like Talib. And now to counter that I know a lot of people gon come at me like "Talib doesn't have the versatility that Tech has" and that's true. But speaking purely on just lyrics, Talib's got it hands down, and you could probably list a bunch of other lyricists too. Tech is great, yeah, he's got lyrics, substance, a mic presence,
flow energy and an interesting persona. But when the dude said Tech isn't THAT great on the lyrical tip, he's right. Tech's just got the best balance of everything else and an adequate amount of lyrical substance to go along with everything else he brings to the table. Rapping along side rappers like Twistid on a collab album focused on showcasing lyrical credibility in the game, is like saying "yeah I got lyrics, but Ima show you I can hang on a track with chumps".
