trust me there are areas the you would have to be our race to understand. That comment you just made about me being wrong proves that. On the other topic, why do I continue to do so? We all sin right why do we continue to sin? No one is perfect. This is a discussion forum I posted this for the bigger picture. I understand that Im not perfect etc etc. Do you purchase gangsta rap on any medium that blacks make themselves look bad with and no? and if yes, why?
To answer your question first, although not directed at me, yes I have bought music that that makes black males look bad. Not in a while, but I have.
Now to address your earlier point. You don't have to be black to see that pushing sin, glorifying pimping, etc etc, is a negative thing. You just have to be human. I do respect how you are mediating this conversation though, but you are being a little self righteous and not even considering yourself in the equation.
The problem is not hyphy, or how the media "portrays" you, the answer is in your signature. You're trying to sell records, with the title of "pimping" in there. Now I haven't listened to the album, and dont' know the content, but i'm pretty sure you're not talking this political stuff on the album. I could be wrong. Prove me right. Stop trying to play the victim. You're putting that stuff out there yourself, yet claiming victim, or "you don't understand because you're not black". Wrong. (I'd get into it, I'd be writing paragraphs and people wouldn't read it.) Just because "sin" is out there, does perpetuating make it right? Step it up. I would like to hear your response to all this.
