I love it. The powers that be want to use the celebrity status of people like Mr. West to raise money, but not to speak their mind. I don't agree with everything he said, but I agree with the sentiment that he put forth. If you've ever spoken off the cuff to a room full of people, you know there is a little bit of nerves involved, now imagine to a whole country. Mr. West was honest in his thoughts but unfortunatly they are overly simplistic. The focus needs to be raising money and getting aid to the people. Politics can take a back seat for a little while, but I do think citizens should be able to critize their leaders and politicians.
Thats total censorship by the media. They took away the very thing this country stands for by cutting him off. I don't agree with him. George Bush is one republican that is closely connected to alot of minority figures in Washington DC. But he is still entitled to say what he wants. Shit like this makes me hate the media.
