Props to the colts, the best team won the superbowl and that's all you can ask for. They deserve the win, I'm happy for P. Manning and that the monkey is finally off his back.

My only regret is that cedric benson got injured. Not saying it would have made a huge difference, but it definately took away from da bears Offensive plan.

Other than that, imo, the game was won by the coaching staff of the colts. I thought they did a hella of a good job adjusting as the game went on (for example, kicking away from Hester).

Overall, I'm satisfied that the best team won and I'm glad that I can say my team lost fair and square, unlike last year.

Props to the Colts and to the fans, you deserve it!!!

Also, I got to give props to Devin Hester, you all know that was the fucking shit on the opening play!!!!

Lastly, I may receive some shit, but I don't think you can blame the game entirely on Grossman. I think a couple of his deep passes were effected by the rain and those plays were called by the O cordinator, so he needs to take most of the credit for those turnovers, and lack of passing plays.

No need to talk shit. They made it to the superbowl, that's more than any other team did this year in the NFC, so that statement is bullshit.

Colts won fair and square, aint no shit you can say about that, colts were the better team today. But at least give da bears their credit for making it to the SB, which isn't no easy task.

it pretty much cements Payton Manning's legacy and with all the things Dungy had to endure.
Yeah there should be no doubts in anyone's mind that Peyton is one of the best to ever play the game.

And I'm happy for Coach Dungy.. It was fucked up when his son died last year around this time.. I'm glad he can finally celebrate a championship.

Hopefully the Bears keep that defense together and get a solid QB coach to come in and work with Grossman if he's still around.
They may want to consider a new QB..

Berrian was open a couple times and Grossman kept throwin' to the underneath route to #88. He threw it to him on numerous occasions... he seemed to throw the ball straight up in the air instead of throwing with accuracy on the deep ball.
Grossman makes a lot of mistakes.. Part of it is because he's young and doesn't have that much experience at the reigns, but part of it is just lack of ability. He doesn't read defenses well and he doesn't seem to scan has options before releasing. He folds under pressure easily.. He might be able to change all that, but there's a chance he will never correct those flaws. We'll see what happens with him..

the Bears' didn't seem to adjust defensively and we constantly having 6 or 7 men in the box allowing Manning to audible and hand the ball off. Didn't care too much with the depth the Bear corners played at either. Damn near 10 yard off the LOS and were pedalin' at the snap. Opened up the flats anytime the Colts wanted to hit em.
That's because the Bears were scared shitless of the Colts' deep attack. Peyton's vertical game is sav and that's what the Bears tried to shut down. They got it done for the most part (with the exception of the deep TD to Wayne).. But in order to shut down a deep threat you have to back off the line of scrimmage.. That's why the RBs were able to rip off some decent runs and Addai had a nice day receiving. Shit, the Safeties were 17 yards deep and as soon as the ball was snapped they started backing up.. That opens things up underneath like you wouldn't believe.

Peyton has to be hard as fuck to gameplan against. There's just too much going on when he's on that field.

I agree the loss is not Grossman's fault.. The Bears' defense was not getting it done. Peyton and the Colts offense were too much for them. The Colts defense also proved they were the best D in the playoffs this year..The bright spot for the Bears was the special teams, but the Colts took that away from them.. I think any coach in the league would have done the same.

Yea, give credit to the colts O line for the great blocking. You can say maybe da bears didn't blitz enough, or their front four didn't get it done, whatever the case, bottom line is they didn't get pressure on Manning, really the entire game, and that no matter who you were going for you must acknolage the O line.

++++++++++++

yeah definitely. The D-Coordinator has to be willing to take more risks. The Bear CB's played pretty well throughout but there were gaps and weaknesses in the Bears scheme and Manning was able to exploit them...

and yea Grossman wasn't making his reads, he was just going to the closest receiver almost exclusively. He's gotta learn to make plays running and scrambling as well... There were times he could've picked up 1st downs if he took off... but didn't.

woulda coulda shoulda.... what's done is done and this game is one where the Winning QB was the difference in my opinion. The experience and ability to audible and read coverages and blitzes was invaluable.

Bwhahah. Naw its cool. Colts came in and ran shit. The passing game was on point. If the Bears have any chance next year it would be better without Grossman.

Hey 206 i think Benson isn't that good anyway. I think Jones is the better running back and should be running full time.

I think Jones is better too but that's not the point. The point is having both backs sharing runs, as they did very effectively against the saints. Benson is a North/South hard hitting back, while Jones can cut and turn direction and take it to the outside.

Benson is used straight up the gut and his hard hitting style softens up the D.

haha I feel bad for ya 2-0, everyone I know took the day off today. I'm sitting in a dark ass room with tylenol and a glass of water lol.
Linebackers blew that game, and that's my only disappointment.

Man I'm hurtin at work bro!

I wouldn't really say the linebackers blew the game, I point the fingers at the Defensive play calling and defensive game plan. I think I saw Urlacher yelling at one of the coaches on the sidelines, not sure what that was all about but I'm guessing he was pissed about the soft defensive play calling, especially on third down situations, and rightfully so. Da bears NEVER adjusted to the short passes and passes to the running backs, which the Colts were doing the entire game. It became obvious that because of the rain, Manning wasn't going to throw deep, and yet they still had their corners giving 5-8 yard cushions on the sidelines and dropping the linebackers deep. Hardly any blitzes, no pressure whatsoever.

And the fact that da bears offense couldn't get shit done and had so many three and outs didn't allow da bears D to rest. They were exhausted by the fourth quarter.

Bad play calling/game plan is what did the bears in. But despite the poor coaching job, they still had a number of opportunities to win the game but couldn't execute.

The Bears had a chance but it seemed like the Colts read every play they tried to execute. It was a good game though. Props to b oth.
