Im goin 2 say that it will be a close game.....I think with the Bears missing some key players and the game being played in Florida will be the deciding factors.....Unless the bears defence can confuse Peyton(which is hard 2 do), im goin 2 say the Colts....it should be a tight game and possible classic though......Guh-Guh Gangsta

This is a great Super Bowl matchup, bottom line. Yall just need to sit and enjoy it instead of crying about how one team is so terrible.

Jim Rome had a great quote today....

"...But fact is, while you might be able to fluke your way to 8 wins or get a good bounce to steal a playoff game, you can't luck your way to 15 wins and a 25 point conference title game beat-down. The Bears earned their trip to the Super Bowl and if Indy underestimates them the way everyone else has, there might just be a sequel to that Super Bowl Shuffle."

If you made up shit, I'd likely call you on it.
Yeah, I made up the fact that it was cold as fuck. I made up the fact that the Bears are used to playing in cold weather. I made up the fact that the Saints are a dome team and they are obviously not used to cold weather. I made up the fact it's harder to function in freezing weather when you are not used to it.

Give me a break.

What logic?
You know, the one you claimed this debate would be based on.

Oh I see what you're doing.. You're contradicting yourself in order to make it seem like I'm the idiot, not you. Lame.

2-0-Sixx said:
Also untrue. There are some sports "experts" picking the bears. There is a popular saying in football, "Great Defense wins championships."
I was talking about those of us participating in this conversation, not some sports "experts." The only people disputing my "logic" are Bears fans. If you were as quick on your toes as you'd like us to believe, you never would have misunderstood that comment.

2-0-Sixx said:
That's why I find this "debates" pointless.
Then why do you bother posting in here? You just wanna state your opinion and have nobody say anything in return. If you think debates about sports are pointless, then don't involve yourself to begin with. It's as simple as that.

2-0-Sixx said:
Took you that long?
Yeah, I just skimmed through your load of crap you call a post.

2-0-Sixx said:
But I wouldn't expect a simpleton like you to catch that.
Kinda like how you couldn't grasp the fact that I was talking about those of us involved in this conversation earlier in this thread? I thought it was obvious because I haven't heard any "experts" discuss what we are talking about in here.

2-0-Sixx said:
Yes, debating sports is much more important.
Importance? You wanna talk about importance?

What do you folks in the G.O.M. accomplish by discussing anything in that forum? Oh that's right, absolutely nothing. So I guess it makes no difference which topic you feel is more important.

Yes I have. I played football since I was 7 till Highshool. Always outdoors, in cold rainy seattle.
Seattle is not as cold as Chicago was that day. I'm talking about playin in the snow. If you truly did play in the conditions I'm speaking on, there would be no debate. Point blank.

People are talking about the weather being a factor and what not, but both teams had to play in it and both teams had some slippage due to the conditions. However the Bears were able to protect the ball while the Saints didn't.
Are we forgetting the fact that the Bears are able to practice in that weather and therefor have an advantage in it?

Jim Rome is an idiot. Yeah...fuckin' Dungy, Manning and the rest of the Colts are going to underestimate the fucking Super Bowl.

What a clown.....

yup folks seem to forget that the Colts gave up 34 points to the Patriots.
And people are seeming to forget it was the PATRIOTS who scored 34.

It's the Patriots. With Tom Brady. In the playoffs.

You are not going to stop them from scoring.

And don't forget Asante Samuel took one to the house and their special teams also put them in great position to score. So not all the blame for that 34 belongs on Indy's defense.

You made up that the Saints turned the ball over due to the weather, but NONE of the turnovers were weather related. Re-watch the game if you don't believe me.

Seattle never gets 28 degrees and doesn't snow? Yep, it's just like Miami up here.

What do you not understand about not being able to function in cold weather when your body is not used to it? I mean, is it really that hard to understand? I just don't see how you could even act like you know what you're talking about when you can't seem to comprehend a simple fact.

Your muscles tense up. You are not as fast. You are not as flexible. You are not able to react as quickly. You cannot hold on to the fuckin ball as easily. You cannot throw as well. Everything is affected when you are not used to it. You'd know that if you truly have played in that weather. So save it.

What do you not understand about all of the turnovers were forced turnovers? We are not talking about dropping a ball because it's wet or anything like that. Brees arm cocked back, exposed ball, nailed from the blind side. Doesn't matter if it's 72 degree weather, that will be a fumble 10 out of 10 times.

I'm from Chicago. I've been in negative 20 degree weather. I live in Seattle, where it can get pretty cold too.

Here is a picture from my gf's house I took on my phone two weeks ago:

I've played in snow. I know how it is. Regardless, the Saints would have got beat anywhere they played. The bears are a better team then they are, period.

Let's get this straight first and foremost.. I did not say the turnovers were caused by the frigid temperature, I said the weather was a contributing factor. All I'm trying to get across is the fact that weather plays a difference in all players' performances, but when you are used to frigid weather it is easier to cope with and your body will function a lot smoother than someone who is not used to it. I'm not saying the Bears did not force the turnovers, all I'm saying is it was easier for them to function under the circumstances than it was for the Saints. The Bears defense is sav and they get the job done, period.

And Brees' situation resulting in a fumble may not occur 10 times out of 10. Some people would have the strength and grip on the ball to not drop it. But that's a different discussion.

I agree 100%.

But the weather was a factor in the beatdown. Who's to say the Saints wouldn't have ripped off a couple more plays if not for the weather? Regardless, I'm not saying they would have won. Since you say you've played in the snow, you should know exactly what I'm talking about whether you admit it or not. This is not something I pulled out of my ass.. Go back and read my comments in the Bears Vs. Saints thread, I gave the Bears this advantage before the game was even played.

Colts need to do something about their kick off coverage because if Hobbs was able to run all over them...what will Hester do in a dry climate in Miami?

On the other hand...we can't neglect the stat that Indy gave up less than 100 yards in each of their three playoff games and has shown drastic improvement(and confidence) in the playoffs. Yeah Brady played a pretty good game(which led to their points) but I just can't see Grossman doing the same if Colts stop the rush. I pick the Colts because they're a more complete team than the Bears.
