1). Da bears played on the same field and in the same weather the Saints did and they also had a number of people lose their footing, just like the saints did.
Doesn't change the fact that the Bears are used to the weather. The Saints are a dome team, they are not used to it. Advantage: Bears.

I don't know if you've ever played football in freezing weather, but I have. It's much harder to perform, especially if you're not prepared for it. The Bears were prepared because that's their HOME.

2). Da bears CREATE turnovers, they don't just get lucky like you claim happened. All of Brees's fumbles, along with his interception, were FORCED and were not caused by the weather conditions.
Don't try to put words into my posts. I didn't say they got lucky, but you know as well as I do that the weather played a big factor in those turnovers. The weather is the main reason I knew the Bears would win.

And like I said, you drop the ball much easier when you're freezing your ass off and are not used to such conditions.

3). Miami huh? Excellent, that's were Rex Grossman is from! Grossman actually plays much better in warm weather than in shitty conditions.
I don't care if Rex Grossman was from Mars and they were holding the SuperBowl there. He's not a good QB.

Oh, and Devin Hester...5 of his 6 TD's this year were on turf fields, domes and/or warm weather. He only returned one TD in Chicago. He's also from Florida.
And Tom Brady is from California, which has nice weather. He played in a dome today, which has a controlled climate, which is equivalent to nice weather. He lost.

On the other hand, when he plays where he is used to playing.. Where the weather is cold and it snows.. He rarely loses.

Point being, it doesn't matter where the damn players are from.

4). "Rex Grossman is an erratic QB who will have the weight of the world on his shoulders" something Rex Grossman is very used to. If you look back over the season, the games where he had the most pressure (after poor games), he did great (vs. St. Louis, Seattle, and now the Saints. Although his numbers weren't great against the Saints, he didn't turn the ball over, didn't make any big mistakes, and drove da bears down the field for a TD when they needed it the most).
None of those games were in the SuperBowl, and none of those teams were as good as the Colts. The pressure will be like nothing he's experienced before.

5). "The Bears offense is not so good, while the Colts defense has looked good in the playoffs"

Bears O has struggled at times, but they have also been outstanding. 2nd in the NFL in total points scored, great running game (200 yards against the Saints) and last I checked the colts aren't that great at stopping the run. Colts offense has also struggled at times.
All that was in the regular season. The Bears offense has not looked great in the playoffs, and the Colts defense has looked good all around. They've held every opponent under 100 yards rushing, and Larry Johnson was one of the opponents. Maybe you should focus on that instead of looking back on regular season stats.

Da bears also have a Pro Bowl kicker. I don't know, maybe you heard of him. He kicked a 50 yard gaming winning FG in overtime against Seattle. I dunno, I guess that's pretty good?
Good for him, but he's not as good as Adam Vinatieri. Not to mention the Colts have more weapons to put their kicker into position to win the game.

I'm going to withdrawal from this debate Fatal Nightmare. I can see how this conversation will go based on your "logic." Thank Cod you don't post in the gathering of minds forum.

Anyways, neither one of us know what is going to happen in the superbowl. Either team could win it, anything could happen. Both teams have a chance (after all they made it this far).

With that being said, I hope it's a good game. Best of luck to the colts.

I am going to play this game late. Im 7-2 in the post season, but I'm not touching this one until the end. I'm liking the Under though (48.5)

The Bears Defense is much better than the Pats. I gotta go with the Bears. The Colts had to dig deep and get the win. They'll be nursing some wounds after today's game. I agree the the Colts Offense is better than the Bears ... just by virtue of Payton Manning tho. I know , i know.. they have great receivers too. But the Bears have established Jones and Benson and also have Muhammed and Berrian as threats among others. It'll be a good game but as it was said earlier in this thread, DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS. The Bears seem to be peaking right now.

Exactly. As long as Grossman can go 40% completion with no turnovers, they've got the game.
I like starting Benson to wear the D down and then bringing Jones in, wonder if they'll try it again.

Catch of the year.

Really? I guess the Saints didn't have the #1 offense in the NFL. And da bears didn't score 39 points against them either. Nor did da bears rank 2nd in total scoring in the NFL...

The Bears didnt do shit. Thank your officals for helping you win that one. Your QB did'nt do shit. Look at Brees and look at Gross. Bush makes your whole offense look weak. Yeah ya got a good defense. So do the Ravens and they lost. So like I said the Weather and the bad calls on the game are why the Bears won. If you would have came to the N.O. you would have been blown out in the worst way. Thats a fact. The Colts are going to tear apart the bears so bad its not even going to seem real.

What? Thank the officials for calling a straight game? What were these bad calls you think you saw?

Brees played great. 354 Yds on only 49 attempts, 2 TD, 1 int, 1 fumble, and another fumble that almost gave the Bears an easy TD but at the very least forced a 4th and forever punt that allowed the Bears to start with great field position. And when his back was against the wall he threw an intentional grounding in the end zone for a safety. So yeah, he was the better QB for sure.

And stop with all the "the bad weather hurt the Saints". It's been said before, but I'm pretty sure both teams played on the same field. Yeah, sure they aren't used to playing in bad weather, but that's what home field advantage is for. If they were so good, maybe they should have won a couple of more games during the regular season. And I'm not so sure playing in the Superdome would have made a difference. Four of their five losses came in that building. And back to Brees, his 3 top yardage games this year....510, 398 and 383...all came in losses. If a team needs to throw 40-50 times a game, they're probablly not going to win.

The Bears played a complete game, the Saint's didn't....Scoreboard.

Anyway...
