fuck kissin ass to get radio play. fuck major label a&r's they just wanna swoop up some talent to exploit for there own profits. i think its square shit to kiss ass and say shits tight if im not feelin it. maybe if fools put effort into making good music, instead of becoming the next dirty south, shit would actually happen for the bay.

"t came from the new generation of young adults in the bay
around 2003 when lil jon was makin slaps for Ying Yang" salt shaker" and Too $hort's "Shake that monkey"...and even the neptunes and busta ryhmes "Light your ass on fire"....These young cats were going crazy to this..with or without it being from the bay. Once the Federation seen this going on mostly in Oakland..they made Hyphy..directed to young cats
and most likely..if you do not understand Hyphy"

also not to be a prick but all these songs sucked ass, and the whole chincy beat club music shit is pathetic, i would rather not blow up nationwide than make lame ass shit aboout the club.
Not to sound racist...But I really believe that you are white...
and I think that's part of the reason that you do not like THOSE songs...and I think that's why you do not like the Hyphy movement..

and I'm pretty sure that you are not black...
To be truthful..most bay area rap is target to blacks.

just being honest.

but if I'm wrong please correct me.

Change is a sign of evolution! Hate it or love it... but Mob Music has evolved into Hyphy! E-40 is an exact product of that, and there is nothing wrong. Some of ya'll can chose to live in the past hoping for a comeback of your favorite washed up's, or preserve the past for what it was and root for the new era of those who will carry the torch. Bailey is hot...but he can't help that he wasn't born as "Rappin Ron" reincarnated! Get real... somebody wants to go diggin thru some Old skool un-used Sam Bostic, Mike Mosely, Mike Dean, and Rick Rock beats to put new talent on them trying to re-expose what's already been done. We won many games with that playbook...but not the Championship! So now with a new playbook, new rookies, and Veteran MVP's... we enter a new season! As you can see, everyone has tried to still our plays (Da Musicizans, Jay-Z, Dip Set, etc.) but they just can't seem to execute them the same way! So on that note, keep the fans involved, don't show boat and focus on winning!
Good shit.
Nice analogy sir.

your wrong. i agree with you that we should be supportive.. but someone being white isnt a good reason for someone to not like the hyphy movement. im white, i like it. i know black and white people who both like and dislike it, color doesnt matter with music.

fa sho. ^ but really. why is it such a concern that the bay 'blows up' i mean personaly i could careless...as long as the bay makes music ill slap that shit.. but who cares if some nigga in jersey is playin a bay record.

and like E-40s new single.. im not a fan of that track.. i feel that is bad representation of the bay on a national level.
You do not care if the bay blows up or not because you're not in the bay area rap business at all...so of course you wouldn't care.

No..you took it the wrong way.
I said that is probably why HE doesn't like any of those "Salt Shaker" or Too Short's "Shake that monkey" or the Hyphy movement

Im not saying that white people do not like it...cmon man

Im saying that's why he doesnt like it
from the way he typed that it seemed like he doesn't understand this Hyphy movement or any of those older songs

you feel me?

That's another one of my points...I dont know..if u kno this
but this hyphy music is blowing up..as a matter of fact...
Last months issue of ROLLING STONE had a article on the
Bay area Hyphy movement.
I understand that you dont like this type of music..and respect that...
but let me ask you a question...have you been to a sideshow in the last 3 years???
or even to a club in the bay area??
If you have then I think you would see that Hyphy isnt just music
..it comes from the streets of the bay area

maybe you should get out more....
Ok well im 28 and im not a big fan of the hyphy movement. I like a song here and there that have to do with hyphyness but the majority of it is garbage. I havent been to a side show in the last 3 years, I went to sideshows from around 1994-2001 so that has nuthin to do with it except it was safer during my time of going. Yea i got to clubs, but to see hyphy movement it depends on the kind of club you go to and the kinda of crowd it attracts. Yea if you goin to a ghetto ass club then thats what u get. But at me being 28 it makes me feel old seing this hyphy chit pop of cause all i see is the younger generation aka crack baby generation really feeling this and at times it makes me wonder how ignant and non creative can niggaz be. Yea niggaz be sporting dreads, white tees and gold ones, i went to the BAYOU classic in 1997-99 and thats how all them southern cats dressed back then. Now we ride scapers. I went to Daytona for a couple of years for the BCR 97-99 they drove Caddy's, chevys and buicks wit 20's, tvs etc. The south has alwayz outballed us when it came to cars. So this whole hyphy appearance has already been done by the south. So im not feeling this hyphy shit at all.

Really? And who are you?
Im just a limb on a tree of a record label who I will not mention right now

Its nothing wrong with you not caring
but its just obvious that the reason you do not care about the bay blowing up..is because you are not in the music industry

am I right or wrong?

why would you care if they blow up?I feel you

Not the target, that has nuthin to do with it. The older people are the ones going to buy the garbage and the young generation is the ones making CD-R's and selling it to make a quick buck.
Umm and im not the target, and how old do you think keak is? lol

So thats all that the Bay has to offer, Hyphy music?? So Heiro, Zion I and The Coup dont make music anymore? I know that we're being forced fed a certain type of sound but in reality the bay is just as diverse as it was in the Great 90's.(IMHO) The other artist arent being pushed as hard by the Machine.

The major A&R's go in the direction of whats hot at the moment, they care more about making Lil Jon and Ying Yang Clones rather than doing what A&R's are suspose to do. When the bay goes back to hosting Urban Music Seminars/Showcases (bankrolled by the Majors) then my friend we know that there are A&R's amongst us on the board who are interested. Enough of my babblin'... GO DUMB OR GO HOME!!!!!
