lol you on some "i dont hate her, shes just a ugly fucking bitch" hater shit. How old are you?
I'm 26.

You're a nobody homie, i've probably made more in one month then you have on all your cd sales. Does that get me in your cool kids club? I'm a grown ass man, i'm worried about making this money not about being pissed at the next KID whos doing better than me no matter how he got it.
First of all, I don't care what you've made in a month...good for you. Do you work a day job? I don't, 'cause I don't have to. I'm not PIST at the kid for doing what he does, nor do I hate him for it. I don't like his music, plain and simple. Do you like everybody you hear? If so, good for you. You have a high tolerance. Am I a Quentin Tarantino hater because I don't dig every one of his movies? I may be nobody to you, but I'm obviously doing something right since I get to wake up when I want, leave when I want, work when I want, etc. etc.

No a&r's care about you homie, you talk about this kid needs to learn english but you got abc rhymes. Nothing special is in your music, its basic english nursery rhymes.
You're absolutely right, there's no meaning behind anything I do. I give a fuck about an image and crazy word play. I make music that everybody can understand, which is why my fan base goes from teens to people in their 50's. I'm not limited in who I can reach with the shit I make. I understand some like you won't like it, and I don't really care. I can't cater to everybody, and I'm sure Soulja Boy understands that as well. Oh, and no, A&R's don't care about me. They don't care about anybody they sign, their job is to shape somebody and sell them, period. The moment those cats told us to change our sound to be "club", I stopped giving a fuck what an A&R thought.

You saying you're not a rapper you're an artist is disrespectful to the real artists in music.
Like who? A real artist respects other artists regardless. I get love from other artists as well, in the rap world, the rock world, the R&B world, etc.

Like I said, I don't hate or disrespect the folks I don't like, I just state my opinion and move on. I don't sit here and dwell on how Soulja Boy makes his money. I'm happy for him, we need more youngsters with focus like that.

The fact still remains, I make my music, do my shows, and I collect...like it or not. You're sittin' over there callin' me a hater, and at the same time speaking down on another man you know nothing about. Who's hating?

"Lemme get a beat you can bounce to.... Start with my day waking up and going to the studio.. Progress with my day through the track saying as few words and being as undescriptive as I can, make it drag for a few minutes and I bet people eat that shit up."

Like I said props on making a buncha shit and gettin money but shit is still shit

beat was slap, lyrics was pretty much non existant but

I'd listen to a CD full of instrumentals any day over a CD full of acapellas.
real shit

that song wasn't about lyrics anyway it was about "swag"

i actually think its not a bad song its more slappable than any previous soulja boy ill say. i just hate the whole "swag" culture its homo. i can imagine a bunch of phillapino kids from sunnyvale with punk rock gear and gold teeth in an 18 and up club dancing to this thinkin they hella hard lol. yeah thats it though. id slap it in the club before i slapped a lot of shit.

this was a good thread people getting really upset over soldier boy

Sometimes I think people don't like Soulja Boy because he doesn't act hard, and he smiles all the time. Rappers have to be hard for some reason.
Let the kid make the music he wants, just don't buy his CD, and you'll have nothing to worry about. I agree with seeing this song as a good one while you're drunk.

but my friend you just did. cuz you just made my point. let the nigga make money. song is not that bad, and its not making me lose sleep.
just a general comment, i think you guys think its cool to hate on the lil nigga. its ok if you like the song! but i will say this

turn my swag on >>>>> superman

you can't deny that. and you say he sound ignorant. well he did make a song about getting D's so what do you expect, for him to be as literate as KRS-ONE? lol

How come rap/hip hop can't have sub genre's? thats what makes rap music so great, cuz its so diverse. even though all the bullshit you hear on th e radio sounds identical, there is still music out there for everyone. just my two cents and soulja boy is gonna appeal to the high school demographic.
