Dont worry it aint about TBIB or 2 Bigg MC Snitchin'...

But lets get real around here. Alot of posts arent even relevant anymore and alot of science used to get dropped about what's what.

Now my question is...

HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE DONE WHAT THEY SAID THEY WERE GONNA DO IN A POST A YEAR AGO/TWO YEARS AGO ETC?

Like a lot of people hollared about "this time next year Im gonna be major" or how their "album is gonna be different, just watch". But the real question is what happened? Lets start revisiting these posts and start making people own up. Not just what they didnt do but lets post what we did do. sort of like a re-cap.

And just so everybody knows Im not bias...I will start with me.

I wanted to do "A Day In The Bay" Photo shoot with EVERYONE. The intentions were there, but my follow through wasn't. I Also wanted to do the BARS (Bay Area Rap Summit) but again...intentions were there and my follow through wasnt. Im learning how to delegate this coming year and to finish things I started before I add shit to my plate.

I also wanted to finish up and drop some albums like Yukmouth presents...I-Rocc, Smigg Dirtee - God Made Dirt etc. but the months kept getting on and We didnt pull it off. Although those records are coming this new year.

I also wanted to have Southwestbound Magazine drop more issues...(we only did three this year since March when we launched).

But all in all...the year was pretty good: Me and my camp jumped heavy in the mixtape game (not just comps but other peoples mixtapes too) and I moved back to Kali from AZ, I beat a case I was up against (well I took a deal and didnt have to sit down), Jay Tee signed with Universal, and I renewed some relationships with old friends and kept it movin. Plus, A-Wax, Smigg, I-Rocc, Dutch and Syko are all making moves this year so things look good.

Oh and also: (not about me or my dudes but Bay related):

Glad about THE TEAM and TURF TALK enjoying some success. Mad about THE FEDERATION not living up to the hype and disgusted that we lost DRE.

Breathe but lets keep it real...because SoundScans will get pulled. :)

where to start....

my goals for 2004 was to open for at least 1 national act, push the shit out of my cd that i dropped on dec 31, 2003, and get a feature from a well known or upcoming artist. well by march, i ended up opening for do or die, and bo and yuk (speedy aka gotti gotti & cyco where there too. a month later i'm opening for bizzy bone, then Lil' flip. by the end of the year i ended up opening for lloyd banks, akon, fat joe & terror squad, and more. I also got a verse from speedy aka gotti gotti in his hotel. we just brought the studio with us and went for ours lol, got him on video spittin' it and everything. last but not least, i didn't push my album as hard as i probley could but i too am learning to delegate and. it's just hard to let go when you're used to doin' everything yourself.

for 05 i plan to finish the 4 projects i got in front of me including the release of a compilation and my 2nd solo and do a shit load of mixtape verses. me and my homie are makin' sure we do (at least) 1 solo track, 1 group track, and 1 mixtape verse each month. we'll see where i am next year.

My girlfriend left me, so I got me a new one. My kid hates me cuz I was too busy working on my album. I lost my house, so I had to move to Newark, of all places. My record label decided it was a good idea to give my car away, so Im about to be car less. Got stuck working with the worsed people in the music buis. and still made a good album happen for myself. Performed at shoreline in front of 25,000. Got boo'd at a 12 year old dance party (refer back to the above statement "got stuck working with the worsed people in the music buis.") "Like us" feat: Yuk and Quinn was well recieved and got about 100 spins a week on 92.7 before it crashed and burned. A major corp. hated on me once again. Found out one certain station in the Bay doesnt like to play white Hip Hop artists (came straight from the horses mouth) The list goes on and on. However, the album is out and its FRESH!! So go cop that shit. Goals for 05 are as follows: The 5th Hour Mixtapes Vol 1-4 coming......The follow up album "Morg Muzak" coming. Pushing at least 6 thousand of "Miseries Company" in early 05 and doing as many shows as possible. See you next year when none of this happens!!

Well i spent over $10 in the lottery and didnt win, the Impact of a Hustla album took a different turn then I expected and is no longer the project I thought it was, Dirt Rd. Productions was formed..who knows where it will lead..
No shows were done...no t-shrts printed...shit didnt even get flyers out...Watched a lotta rappers come out that really shouldnt have, seen a lotta rappers that didnt come out that should have...Still seeing "comin soon" for albums from people who arent what they claim on the mic...and i know this from experience.
Still too many rappers want to be gangstas, and too many gangstas wanna be rappers.

We met the likes of Truazn9, Leothelowerlip,Art Agnos, DeepeastOakland, Anzpiyamp,Fillmoe Larry etc....and laughed them into non-existence

Held down the same job for the past 3 years..shit thats sayin a lot.
Still aint got my Regal registered...its been since '03..lol...fuckin smog

and then theres the 150 city tour me and 6foota are setting up with Wiggaz Wit Triggaz...hopefully T-Sheezy will bring the bay back fully.

We got yet ANOTHER 2pac album, even though the man died in what 1997....here we are damn near 10 years later...lol

as far as goal for the next year...shit, stayin alive is #1...everything else is in the air

I don't usually do the predictions for next year thing ... BUT... a couple of years ago I said I wanted to get my foot into the videogame industry - I did it. I told myself that I was going to leave the music business alone - I did it. Remember kids: Industry Rule #4080, "Record company people are shady". Trust me on that one. Not to say that you shouldn't pursue your music career, just remember that there are people out there who are more than willing to take advantage of your talent and your hunger...

And now for my last "prediction" - This will be my last post on these boards. I'm not seeing anything beneficial coming from posting and interacting on here anymore. I'm just speaking about me, I'm not saying other people shouldn't interact here because I can't speak for nobody else but me. Shit has been getting progressively ignorant around here from my prospective and I'm just not feelin it anymore.

Everybody have a safe New Year and good luck to all of the true artists.

peace

ok, well let me have a crack at this.

2004 i sat out of rap music. i got married finally. i bought my first house and my business that i run is off the ground and doing so good that i cant believe i even came back to rap period.
i put out a mr kee mixtape called the latin boss. that will be the last thing, probably ever see that ties me mr kee together. we went our separate ways. I AM F.E. its tatted on my forearm and i aint changed. if any of you actually know kee you can ask him why we no longer co-exsist. i really could give 2 shits at this point. i wish him well in his endevers and thats a wrap.

im back fucking with my people b-12, taydatay, a wax, smigg dirtee, syko, dj koncept and dj daric b, john dough .. fuck it the whole bay rider gang/ sickmix family

i got my mixtape comin out which is gas.and whats makin rap fun again is that i dont have to rap to eat. so what ever happens is all good with me.if cats wanna hate then cool. if cats wanna support its much appreciated. i aint tryin to be a star no more. i know i shine regaurdless of mtv. lol BUT I HAVE REALIZED THAT I DONT HAVE THE TIME, NOR THE LUCK IT WILL TAKE. but i love doing music and will continue to do so. IF IT AINT MONEY I AINT MOVIN. i aint trippin off shows and all that shit either. i just want to blaze every mic i come across and do good music. so check for the solo.

at anyrate. 2005 bay rider/ the label group/?????? will be huge i predict.

breathe.

its muhfuckas like dutch who go platinum by accident cause they carry that attitude...now if only some of these wack ass rappers could think like that.....would be alot more dope music out....lol

for me

Amerikkkan Syko FINALLY dropped...properly (after promotin on here since i registered)
watched the thizzle dance craze grow and grow since 2002
contributed production to a gang of albums that are out..or comin 2005
banged out the mixtape wit my bay rider niggs in like 2 days
added dutch,wax,boncept..lol, dough and deric to the links in my chain
(under dramatic circumstances) got to come back to the bay and see all my niggs...its always gonna be my 2nd home....

i would only say my personal life took some dramatic turns...the number of people i lost is rediculous....then the industry took hella blows..major and underground...fans and family were left speechless..i just hope 2005 aint as mainy as last year...even though the shit wont stop..i know i wont be addin to too much dumb shit unless its called for....alotta people should be on that same page....
