Slow Down Metabolsim?

Why the hell would you want to slow down your metabolism? Eating more frequently actually speeds it up. If you really want to slow it down, eat ALOT less with much less frequency, drink less water and sleep less.

Whats the problem? Are you skinny or something? If you are small and wanna get bigger, start EATING BIG and go to the gym.

I was going to make the same post but you beat me to it. Is there a way to slow down your metabolism? I've joined 24 Hour Fitness lately, and I've been fucking with weight gainer protein shakes, but I'm just curious if theres anything else out there to help u gain some mass?

wanna gain weight? Just do what I did dog....WAIT a couple years....yer shit will slow down lol...and then all that crappy eating that u did is gonna catch up with u like it did to me lol

I have the same problem, but I have been able to gain weight as of late. you gotta eat a lot of proten/carbs, and lift heavy weights one hour a day 3-4 days a week. eat like 200+ grams of protein and 300+ grams of carbs a day. if you do this religiously for a couple of weeks you will start adding weight fairly easily. I thought I could never gain weight, but I have put on about 10-15 pounds of muscle this year alone

Yall need to man up and quit relying on magic pills. Listen to BayGiants... but increase the protein.

If you eat like shit you are just gonna get fat. Who wants to get fat and be blubbery?? If you are skinny and eat like shit, you will just become a skinny-fat. That's like the worst of both worlds cause at least if your a BIG-FAT motherfucker, you can push the hell out of someone and hold your own.

You skinny lil boys out there need to SACK UP SOME NUTS. EAT BIG- Get FUCKIN BIG. PERIOD. And that shit will be muscle.


For those that want to speed UP your metabolism, all I can say is to start eating BREAKFAST. This is so key. If your gonna complain and say "I don't have time in the morning to eat breakfast," go fuck yourself then. There's no excuse not to wake up 10 mins earlier. And eat smaller meals with more frequency.

Breakfast jumpstarts the metabolism....Been going out of my way to wake up earlier and have breakfast for the past month...

you basically got to eat every 3 hours starting as soon as you get up. you can get away with 2-3 of them being meal replacements from GNC.

Bong recommended oatmeal for breakfast to me and it has been working for me. I eat some oatmeal and have a protein meal replacement shake.

for the other meals, this is what I usually eat:
2.tuna fish sandwich
3.another meal replacemt shake or bar
4.chicken (I get chicken mcnuggets or chicken strips from fast food restaurants almost every day)
5.peanut butter and jelly sandwich
6.meal replacement right before bed or tunafish sandwich

If you can eat as healthy as you can, but since it is already hard enough, the most important thing is to eat a lot.

Breakfast--
1.5 Oatmeal and 3-4 Eggs

Lunch 1
Solid Albacore Tuna Sandwich on WHOLE WHEAT

Lunch 2
2 5% Lean Burgers cooked on the 4man (See Trader Joe's-- They come in a 4 pack)

Lunch 3
2 5% Lean Burgers cooked on the 4man (See Trader Joe's-- They come in a 4 pack)

Dinner 1
1 Can Turkey Chili

--Preworkout Shake w/ Protein and Carbs

--Postworkout Shake w/ HIGH CARBS and Protein

Dinner 2 (1-2 hrs after lifting)
~2.5 cups of Whole Wheat pasta w/ 2 chicken breasts(cooked on Foreman)

Before Bedtime--
.5-1 cup Cottage Cheese
NATURAL Peanut Butter

I would DEFINATELY steer clear of ALL FAST FOOD shit, but do what you gotta do. They use low quality meat which is high in fat and low in protein. Meal replacement drinks are OK, but whole foods are MUCH better. And as bayGIANTS said... Try to eat as healthy as you can, but when its necessary eat what you gotta eat. It also pays to invest into a cooler where you can store food while your at work.
