Here's what I think homie.

I open up the Siccness and I see an ad for your music. The ad is you and a bunch of cameras flashing at you and shit like that. I look at your face and I don't recognize you. I never heard you rap, I never heard of you, I never really even seen you post here. So the first thing I think to myself is: this cat is a fake. He ain't got a bunch of cameras around him, no other big Bay Area people fucks with him, and he is trying to be someone his isn't.

Then I click on the Boards and enter the Siccness.

The thing most people are saying about your music would back this up. The things you rap about aren't things you do as much as they are things you wanna do, and trends other people started that you want to be a part of. You aren't bringing anything more than a rookie rapper who sells 30 copies of his first CD and gives away the other 970 he pressed to his homies and girls he wants to impress.

But don't trip. It ain't just you. It's 90% of the rappers that post here, and it's 90% of rappers who do Rap music. That's why the industry is slowly wasting away, that's why cats don't buy music anymore, and thats why Kayne West outsells 50 Cent, Murs outsells Messy Marv, and Nas is one of the only MCs who actually has the ethos to say Hip Hop is dead.

My advice is to go back to the lab and try to come out with something original. I would save my money on pressing CDs and an ad campaign until I brought a good enough product to the table and gained some respectability from people in camps that do bring a product to the table.

Keep in mind I can tell you all this without actually listening to your music, and that should tell you something.

Usually if no one posts, it's because they are not interested or you have given them all the info they need. 99% of the time it is not a conspiracy amongst Siccness members to not pay full attention to the 7,000th new rapper that has joined the boards but I may be wrong.

thats as far as I go with this.

I peeped the music and I admit you surprised me. With all due respect I was thinking it wasn't going to be descent but I admit, just with the tracks and no image the music sounds like everything else out today. Now please don't take this the wrong way like I'm stating that you suck because you don't, just maybe open up the topics a little bit more.

I myself have been guilty of doing cuts with no substance and I'm working on that. But as artist to artist and I'm being dead serious I don't listen to half the rappers on myspace. Anybody can have a myspace page and post 1000 bullentins on how hot they are or how they looking for free beats or how dj's and managers should mess with them. I mean even cats like Royalty got busted using one of them myspace friend generators and adding players to pages and got blackballed from the myspace music top artist because of the fraud his camp was doing.

Best of luck with everything homie and I wish you the best.

Thanks to everybody that came with constructive critisim/feedback. I think the general consensis is this: My look does'nt match my sound. Have'nt you ever heard the expression dont judge a book by it's cover? You can't judge somebody by the way they look. Now having said that, let me say this: IN NOW WAY SHAPE OR FORM DO I THINK I'M A GANGSTER OR TRY TO PORTREY A GANGSTER IMAGE. And honestly, I don't see how someone would persieve my raps as gangster. I mean c'mon, if I was trying to be gangster with it, don't you think I would have went another direction with the album cover concept and chose another picture for the cover. I know image is everything and I picked that theme for the exact opposit reason, I did'nt want people to think I was trying to be hard and shit, that aint me. Don't get me wrong I aint a sucka but I aint a gangster either. I deffinitely feel what everybody is saying when it comes to keeping it hip hop and lyrical and trust me, every verse I write nowadays is just that, on some real, grown man hip hop deep shit. My first album is really me growing as an artist and also as a person. I was trying to find myself in allota ways during the making of this first album which has been over a 3 year span. I'll post up some of my more recent shit once it's mixed and trust me, you'll be able to hear the difference. I don't want to respond with a muh fuckin essay so again, thanks yall for the responses, the useful ones, and keep that shit coming it helps out knowing what the people are thinking.

I think one thing I will say that I am impressed by is your ability to take criticism and not fly off the handle like you are the greatest thing since sliced bred. If you hang in their long enough and do your thing I think you definitely will grow as an artist and be capable of having a respectable name. Good luck to you.
