Who remembers watching this shit and where were you? I was in 11th grade, at home watching this shit unfold live. It's been 6 years now, but damn, I'll never forget this.

i was in 7nth or 8th grade and was chillin with my good friend just thinking damn we are at war... that was prolly the closest i ever felt to being affected by this whole thing

was in 8th grade with with my stepdad gettn ready to go there...but turkey didnt let them invade form the north...so they ended up coming in behind the other units attacking from kuwait...and he was there from may or june 03-may june 04

and then he went again from august 07-october 08

my life changed alot when all this started...especially since i lived for a year and a half or so at FT benning wich is an Army base...the dad of the fam that lived across the street was killed in 05 it was sad as fuck watching his kid play in the front yard after that, bothered me knowing he would never see or get to play with his dad ever again cause i would see him with his dad in the front yard sometimes playing with his son before he got sent over there...then on my stepdads 2nd deployment i ended up going to Germany to stay with my mom and little brother for a little while to help her get settled since he deployed with his unit right after they got there...my mom had to break the news to some of the wives who had there husbands killed over there...goin up to the door with the chaplain and shit...that shit must have been rough on her...i couldnt do that...she had a scare herself when my stepdad was slightly wounded back in april or march of 08...but when they came to the door to tell her he was wounded..she looked out the window and seen that there was no chaplain..so she knew he hadnt been killed...

I'll props anyone who can post the video where the Iraq official was claiming to the news reporter there were no Americans in the town and all is well, but there was quite a bit of commotion going on in the video as the USA was clearly there.

i was in in sac at a telly with this bitch off some thizzles, i filmed her dance around naked and take that flight to boston a few times..i remember watching the video later and we had the news on mute in the background...shit was goin down...shock and awe everywhere...on the tv too!

i was a grown ass man..not in school at that time
