Hawks fans, do not go into panic mode. It's the sign of an immature, inexperienced fan.

If McMullen does not fumble that ball after a beautiul ball from Matt, we win this game easily. Coming very close to winning relatively easily while crippled does not equal the sky is falling.

I had us at 12 wins, but 2-2 out of the gate. Now if they just beat STL and somehow find a way to beat the Giants, then they're right there "on schedule" with my 12 wins. I know most of you guys probably don't have them for 12 wins, especially now, that's fine. Just don't panic.

It sucked balls walking out of that raucous, incredible stadium on Sunday afternoon, I was numb. But perspective, perspective. I am now concerned, but not worried.

The concerning part is that our offense looked pretty good all things considered, but our defense looked pretty suspect against a shitty 49er time.

If you had told me we were gonna score more than 24 coming into this game, I would have almost guarenteed a W.

Of course the offense isn't gonna be playing well, but what the fuck is wrong with our secondary?

Well, i guess desperation has fully set in....Seattle just signed an old, familiar, and unsettling face...

Seahawks turn to Robinson
Troubled ex-Hawk set for encore
By CLARE FARNSWORTH
P-I REPORTER

RENTON -- The Seahawks' on-going search for a wide receiver has finally led them to a familiar face: Koren Robinson.

The former Seahawks first-round draft choice was at the team's practice facility Monday night and was expected to sign a contract Tuesday after he passes his physical.

The ninth overall selection in the 2001 draft, Robinson was released after the 2004 season when alcohol problems threatened his promising career.

But the Seahawks are desperate for a receiver who knows their system because Nate Burleson, Ben Obomanu and Logan Payne have been lost for the season to injuries and Bobby Engram and Deion Branch are not ready to return from their injuries.

As Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren put it earlier Monday, "Desperate times call for desperate measures."

Robinson, 28, caught 78 passes for 1,240 yards and five touchdowns while starting at split end in 2002, the most productive of his four seasons with the Seahawks.

"I don't know about the football side of it all," quarterback Matt Hasselbeck said earlier in the day when asked about Robinson. "I haven't seen him play in a long time. But I guess what I care about more is that he grew up and really matured and got his life turned around in the right direction."

Hasselbeck saw Robinson during the offseason, when Robinson told him he was married, had one child and another was on the way.

"So I'm really happy for him," Hasselbeck said. "I'm proud of him."

Robinson was suspended for four games in 2004 for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. He was arrested for DUI in May 2005, which led to his release by the Seahawks.

He played the 2005 season with the Minnesota Vikings, and was voted to the Pro Bowl as a kick returner. But the Vikings released him after he was arrested on a DUI charge in 2006 and agreed to plead to fleeing police. Robinson also spent 90 days in jail in 2007, stemming from that 2006 incident.

The Green Bay Packers signed Robinson in 2006, but he served a one-year suspension before returning to the Packers last season for the final nine games, in which he caught 21 passes and averaged 23.8 yards returning kickoffs. The Packers released him in May.

The Seahawks talked about signing Robinson last week, but it appeared Holmgren lost that debate to club president Tim Ruskell, who made the decision to release Robinson in 2005.

The Seahawks did not contact Robinson last week, when they instead signed free agent wide receivers Billy McMullen and Samie Parker.

McMullen played Sunday in the 33-30 loss to the 49ers and is still with the team. The Seahawks released Parker on Saturday.

Asked about Robinson on Monday, Holmgren said, "I'll say the same thing -- he is on that list. The value there is he's played. He knows this system. He's played with us before."

And apparently will play with them again.

Our secdondary was ass....and preparing for Gore, and not Bruce...

Kelly Jennings and Josh Wilson are NOT startes, and may only be good for Nickel situations. Both of those guys are freakin midgets and Jennings has the body of a barbie doll.

Grant and Russell were non-exsistant all day.

It means they're better than your sorry ass team.

In that case, might as well call it a season if you aren't contending this year; your team can go home, mine can go home, and about 29 more, too.

Dumb ass.

Sidenote: a friend of mine went to the game, and was talking about that ol' dumbass mascot of yours (Seattle) getting stuck, suspended over the field, with the game ball...lol. That's cool. I hope the Raiders go play in Seattle some time in the near future; I'd like to go to the game. Sucks that all over the WR's are so banged up, too...and Robinson is a talent (kind of), but he has the mentallity and maturity of a 10 year old.
