shiiiiiiit, I still picked seattle to win just because I don't have the heart to pick against them.

What I don't understand though, is Morris was starting RB and Jones/Duckett didn't even see any action to later in the game. I thought Jones was the starter?

Regardless, Hasslebeck will get better, his numbers were pretty shitty I think he was just rusty. Plus it was raining @ buffalo, tough atmosphere. Defense looked like shit though, I expected them to do better. Will be a completely different team at home.
His numbers were bad because the OL played like absolute SHIT. He was rushed damn near EVER play, and it didnt help that there was at LEAST 6 dropped passes....thats what happens when you have no experience (besides Nate, who got injured) at WR.

Buffalo stacked the box and blitzed damn near every play becuase they knew the WR posotion was fucked...

Same thing I said in the other thread, DO NOT PANIC PEOPLE, stay calm...

A football season is a long journey with distinct little segments in them. Right now it seems like kind of a fucked up segment, but they just need to get to 2-1, get to that bye and then they'll be onto the 2nd segment and will have a good chance to be a different football team.

And I agree with Jesse's analysis about Hasselbeck, I was extremely disappointed in the line play, there wasn't much Matt could do. He's earned my trust, he will be fine.

With four wide receivers injured, Seahawks begin making moves
By John Clayton
ESPN.com

Down four wide receivers because of injuries, the Seahawks started to reshape their roster to make some moves.

First, Seattle officially placed wide receiver Nate Burleson on the injured reserve list. On Sunday in Buffalo, he blew out his ACL. Burleson joins wide receiver Ben Obomanu on the injured reserve list. Deion Branch (knee) and Bobby Engram (collarbone) also remain out because of injuries.

On Tuesday, Seattle worked out six receivers -- Samie Parker, Mark Bradford, Devale Ellis, Mike Hass, Michael Gasperson and Billy McMullen.

From that list, the Seahawks, according to a source, reached an agreement with McMullen, who had been with the Eagles, Vikings and Redskins.

The 6-4, 215-pound McMullen was cut by the Redskins on Aug. 30. He played three years with the Eagles and was with the Vikings in 2006. McMullen caught 23 passes with the Vikings in 2005 and 18 with the Eagles in 2005. McMullen didn't have a regular-season job in 2007.

On Tuesday, the Seahawks also released seventh-round choice Justin Forsett, wide receiver Jordan Kent and punter Ryan Plackemeier. Those three roster spots were filled by the signing of punter Jon Ryan and the suspension reinstatements of defensive tackle Rocky Bernard and safety Jordan Babineaux.

The release of Kent leaves them with only two healthy receivers -- Courtney Taylor and Logan Payne.

Down four wide receivers because of injuries, the Seattle Seahawks started to reshape their roster to make some moves.

Wednesday, they signed Samie Parker -- a day after officially placing wide receiver Nate Burleson on the injured reserve list. On Sunday in Buffalo, he blew out his ACL. Burleson joins wide receiver Ben Obomanu on the injured reserve list. Deion Branch (knee) and Bobby Engram (collarbone) also remain out because of injuries.

Tuesday, the Seahawks, according to a source, reached an agreement with Billy McMullen, who had been with the Eagles, Vikings and Redskins.

The Seahawks will also be without starting right guard Rob Sims for the rest of the season because of a torn pectoral muscle.

Sims is scheduled for season-ending surgery Thursday after finding an MRI revealed a serious tear of the pectoral. Porkchop Womack is expected to draw the starting assignment in his place. Sims started at left guard last season but the signing of Mike Wahle allowed him to fit more naturally on the right side.

On Tuesday, Seattle worked out six receivers -- Parker, Mark Bradford, Devale Ellis, Mike Hass, Michael Gasperson and McMullen.

Simms out? FANTASTIC!!!! Can't get any better. Who the fuck are Parker and McMullen? lol, SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT
Simms is crap anyways. He was gettin embarrassed last week. Womack isnt much better because he is constantly injured, and Vollos has never played RG.

parker was a star at Oregon, mostly known for his punt returns. No clue who this McMullen person is...apparently, he was drafted in 2003 out of Virginia.

Those are pretty much my sentiments exactly, I have never been impressed with Rob Sims.

Deep breath, don't panic, just get to 2-1 and everything will be fine.

(Is the fact that I have to keep typing ^that^ indicative of something?)

OK I admit it, I'm a little bit nervous, but it just sucks to be 0-1, I can't wait for Sunday to get in the win column.

^^^lmao, alot of times my own teams fans stop me from posting in threads...how do I follow that up?

After how we played last week, I woulda gave this game to the seahawks easily but with the depleted WR position and how the running game looked last week, I think the niners have a chance. I hope JTO can handle the seattle 12th man, its gonna be loud in there. I see a run heavy game from both teams and hopefully Gore keeps playing like he did last week....can't wait until sunday!

It should be a good game. Seattle always plays MUCH MUCH better at home then they do on the road so I expect them to look A LOT better then they did in buffalo. With that said they are still hurting pretty bad at WR so once again, they will need to run the ball effectively to beat the n9ners.

This should be a good/close game!

look for seneca to have a monster game at receiver...yeah i said it...they practicing with him at receiver and he's attending the qb meetings this looking to hear what hasselbeck is gonna be looking for when he checcs down...the d should be ok this week although lofa has a soft cast on one of his fingers...fucc it, it will be a close game but seattle will not let gore run all over them like he has before, especially at home.

Seahawks' Trufant to play Sunday despite cracked bone in left hand

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3584603&campaign=rss&source=NFLHeadlines

RENTON, Wash. -- Pro Bowl cornerback Marcus Trufant has a cracked bone in his left hand, but it won't keep him from playing against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

Trufant hurt his hand when he collided with another player while trying to defend against a pass during practice Thursday.

"It's very, very sore," coach Mike Holmgren said. "He has a cast on and we're now trying to evaluate what to put on his hand to protect it. Allow him some comfort, but also allow him to play."

Trufant practiced Friday with a cast protecting his injured hand.

"Just a freak accident, no really big collision or nothing like that," Trufant said. "Just ran into a guy, kind of ran into him the wrong way and my fingers just got jammed up."

The Seahawks have had a number of injuries lately. Starting wide receiver Nate Burleson and starting right guard Rob Sims were placed on injured reserve earlier this week with a torn anterior cruciate ligament and a torn pectoral muscle, respectively.

Middle linebacker Lofa Tatupu suffered a knee injury during a preseason game in San Diego and injured his right thumb against Buffalo last week. He will play this Sunday.
