for five, thats your opinon. go ask around california (where a majority of the people on this board are from) and ask them if they care about that game. other then gambling. and next time dont ask for me to elaborate. i made my statement and take it how you want to take it.
Bay Area NFL fans are by far the dumbest in the NFL from my experience, living in several different states, using several different message boards. By far the dumbest.

Anyway, I think the state of California cares a LOT about that game b/c if the San Francisco 49ers are trying to win the NFC West, then don't you think they care about the outcome of this game?

5. There are quite a few Steeler and Seahawk fans on this board.
There are a lot of Seahawks fans on this board, not a lot of Steeler fans on this board.

There are a lot of people who THINK they're Steelers fans, but w/out roots in Western PA or WV, if they're pulling for the Steelers they aren't fans, they're bandwagoners and I feel sorry for them.

just cause you don't have roots somewhere doesn't mean you can't be a fan of that team. And no I'm not a steelers fan

i dont think thats true. my grandpa my uncles and my dad are die hard steelers fans. ive drove to pitt before to the games n shit with my dad. my grampa worked in pitt back in the day and he just passed it down to his sons and the sons to their sons/daughters. thats just how it goes. i dont think its fair to say if u havent lived there then u a bandwagonner. i can kinda c ur point tho. when the steelers won the superbowl season came up again and i saw ppl sportin their jerseys swearin they was big fans just cause they won. then a better team comes along and they hop. so i agree with u on those type a stupid fucks.

Yeah sounds like you get it. I worded my statement fairly ambiguously with the word "roots" and from what you just said you could make a pretty solid claim to having roots in Pittsburgh if your grandpa worked there. Also if you're way out there in West Texas like I think you are, that's practically an entire day's drive from any NFL stadium so I understand.

If the out of area fan is a case of something that really was passed down a generation or two, a father-son kind of thing I have a lot more respect for that than I do the folks w/ no connection. It also helps if they don't live in an NFL market, b/c shit my dad grew up a Bears fan but fuck I'm Seattle born & raised so I roll with the Seahawks.

Only reason I have this rule is b/c how many out of area fans have you met of dogshit teams? W/ this crowd it's always the same 6 or 8 teams, those that have won stuff so they're taking a shortcut by jumping on the bandwagon.

No disrespect intended towards you (but absolutely at the horseshit folks)

We were without Polamalu, Hines and Hampton. All three have been in the Pro Bowl in recent years! Casey Hampton is the core of that 3-4 Steeler Defense. Without him at NT, we don't get pressure, penetration, etc. through the "A" Gaps! The exotic blitzing schemes didn't work, because Hampton usually takes on two OL's which free's up gaps for our LB's to come through. Hampton is one of the most underrated DL's in the NFL. Ward and Polamalu missing hurts the team for obvious reasons. I will give that Arizona Cardinal defense credit though! They looked really good last Sunday and I can't deny that fact. Oh yeah, been a solid Steeler Fan for over 25 years now!!!

Yah Troy is out to.
We are without Polumalu, Ward, Santonio, Casey Hampton and McFaddern and so far seattle is still having a hard time against Pittsburgh! What does that tell you??? Hopefully the Steelers can get something going on offense though. Even though we lost two WR's for the game we still have other weapons like Heath Miller, Nate Washington, Parker, etc... Go Steelers!!!
