Im aware of Shorts rumored town problems. But u just backed my point up...yes Eazy revolutionized it by saying hey...we selling a couple thousand out the trunk in my area, why not sell millions to the world. And "every" independent label that signs some type of major distribution deal gets an operating expense budget and a line of credit!! Yes including Sick With It,Get Low,Cash Money, No Limit,Roc A Fella,etc.....But Eazy gets credit for thinking outside the box. Short coulda did it...of coarse...but he didnt. And again if Eazy didnt own or run Ruthless, then why duz Tomica Woods-Wright own it now and not Jerry Heller? Heller has been trying to sue since Eazy's heart stopped for a stake in the company. So u can forget all that he didnt run it or own it nonsense.
I did not say Eazy didn't OWN Ruthless. I said he didn't RUN it like you claim he did. Heller pulled the strings, Heller made the deals, Heller signed the checks. Of course Eazy owned it, which is why it is in his wife's possession, but just because you own something doesn't mean you run it. Bill Gates doesn't RUN everything that he OWNS.

"yes Eazy revolutionized it by saying hey...we selling a couple thousand out the trunk in my area, why not sell millions to the world."

You are extrapolating facts right now. Can you prove that Eazy was selling a couple thousand out his trunk in LA? I don't think you can. I've never even heard of Eazy's music before Ruthless Records. He claimed to be selling drugs and gang banging before that time. I don't think Eazy ever really sold his shit out the trunk, because as soon as Ruthless was born, Heller was at Eazy's front door. Heller was managing World Class Wreckin Crew and hella other niggas who he would eventually bring to Ruthless with him. This is my point. Eazy did not make Ruthless what it was by himself. Heller played a big time role in that department. It ain't like Eazy was stacking chips before Heller got there. Ruthless was founded on March 3rd 1987. I have never heard of Eazy's music before then. So he did not revolutionize independent rap. He didn't sell out the trunk. He had the presence of mind to turn over the reigns to somebody that could make him a shit load of money, but revolutionize independent rap he did not.

I got Hellers book and even he said in his own words in black and white..."Eazy was my boss"......If heller ran Ruthlesss then how did he get fired by Eazy?
Yall ain't hearing me. I'm not saying that Heller was the "boss." I never said that he owned Ruthless. I said he was the one pulling the strings and making the moves. I'm sure Eazy had to approve things, but from what I have read, Heller is the one that made the stuff behind the scenes happen. Think of all the NFL team owners. Some might own a team, but due to their lack of football knowledge, they don't run the team.

Bill Parcels doesn't OWN the Miami Dolphins, but he damn sure runs them. He can still be fired if things don't go the way ownership wants, but he has free reign to do whatever he thinks is best. Same situation with Heller. Heller was doing what he thought was best for Ruthless and NWA....Cube and Dre bounced because they didn't like the direction of everything. Thus, Eazy fired Heller.

Heller was more so on the financial side of things homie...H e had pull in other areas but Eazy was in charge.
LMAO in terms of running a record label, what else matters besides "the financial side of things"??? I guess you could say that Eazy discovered all the talent, but Heller was managing Dre and Yella before Ruthless Records even existed.

Some of your facts are correct and u act like cuz he was smart enough to incorporate Heller discredits the fact that he did indeed revolutionize the independent rap game. Short had Freddy B. Jay Z had Dame and Biggs. Master P had St. Charles and Tobin Costin in the beginning as well. And yes Heller contributed but Eazy was his boss and told him what to do...but I guess we agree to disagree. No disrespect but it seems like u are reaching for excuses to discredit him...uh he had Heller, uh he had people backing him,uh Short had town drama, uh he didnt sell out the trunk. Yet and still have yet to name a bay artist to rival his accomplishments.

Please don't misunderstand me. I have no reason to try and slight Eazy E. That nigga is a legend and will always be remembered as such. I just hate to see people try and claim things that don't belong to them. This title that you are attempting to give to Eazy just does not apply to him. I'm not attempting to make excuses, I'm stating facts. Maybe somebody can correct me if I'm wrong. You want me to name a Bay artist that has rivaled Eazy's accomplishments? I thought I already did that. What did Eazy do that Short didn't? Eazy didn't sell near the amount of records that Short did. Yea Short had WAY more time to do it. But Eazy aint go PLAT six times in a row. Short came out at a time when everything was LA this LA that, and still brought major attention to the Bay. He had the Bay on his back. He single handedly put Oakland on the map. Short has stood the test of time in away that almost no other rapper in the game has. And he's from an area that gets very little respect from the rest of the game. Short is synonymous with the word independent. Eazy E is not. Ask any rapper in the game who inspired them to be independent. Guarantee that Short is at the top of the list.

OMG...Homie how u gon compare Shorts record sales to Eazy's in terms of Ruthless? Short sold Platinum 6x compared to Eazy E's Ruthless records selling upwards of 50million? Im not talking about Eazy as in just Eazy E albums, im talking about find a bay area artist with a label that has rivaled Ruthless. U cant cuz there are none!! Not Sic wid it/JIVE, Not Get Low/Priority, not so called Dangerous/JIVE. Short sold 6million for Jive, Bone sold 30million for Eazy, Eazy sold about 4-5 million for Eazy, Nwa sold a few million for Eazy....what arent u getting sweetie? How is Short synonymous with independent when his whole career was spent on JIVE? LOL...Eazy was signed to himself his whole career!! If that aint independent then what is?

Theres a hell of alot more to running a record label then just money....U proved my point with the Bill Parcells example....Parcells makes alot of the dicesions but he don't play none of the players

Cube didn't leave the group on his own will...He was actually voted out of the group by the other members....Eazy didn't fire Heller right after Dre left....Heller was fired after Bone dropped their ep.

Yea Eazy was signed to himself, but I already established that the people he had around him made it possible for him to what he did. Just look at the definition of the word INDEPENDENT. BY YOURSELF. That is what Short started. Why don't you just ask around. Ask any rapper on Earth to name one guy that comes to mind when they hear the word independent. Shit ask Dr. Dre. Niggas will say Short 9 times out of ten. Ain't nobody gone say Eazy E. Honestly I've never heard Eazy E spoken about in this way. As an independent pioneer.

What the hell are you talking about? Who gives a damn who pays the players, or the rappers for that matter. Parcells is in charge of personnel, that means every player that plays on the Dolphins is there because Parcells gave the OK. Now if he begins to makes decisions that are detrimental to the team, he gets fired. Same thing happened to Heller.

I heard Dre say himself that he should have LEFT Ruthless when Cube LEFT. Cube LEFT because the money wasn't right. Dre LEFT later because he didn't like how business was being handled. Heller was fired because the decisions he was making weren't panning out. The fact remains, he was still making the decisions.

The bold letters is the point I've been trying to make my last few post.

Ur bottom paragraph? Who gives fuck...But like I said Cube got kicked out the group....people need to stop believing that he just left on his own.

According to Cube, he left because he didn't like the contract that Jerry Heller presented to him. Now who are you getting your information from. I'm getting it from what I've read from Cube. Where are you getting your info from?

The bold letters that you are referring to does not prove your point. Heller still MADE THE DECISIONS. Period. That is my point. He was held accountable for the decisions he made, but he still made them.

LOL....Are u serious? LOL...wow u are reaching...Okay u are either too young, uninformed, or maybe a little slow..(no disrespect and i dont mean it literally) LMAO..u still never answered the question of how short is this independent king and was signed to Jive for 20 years? So Master P doesnt get credit for No Limit selling 75million records? How Eazy dont get credit for Bone selling 30 million when he owns they ass even in death? He didnt have shit to do with them selling records huh? Bone put out an album before they got to Eazy...why it didnt go wood? 50 Cent had a career and albums before he signed to Shady/Aftermath but millions of people never new that. I guess his success now has nothing to do with Dre and Em huh? Honestly, I have never ever ever never heard anybody mention Short when it comes to independent shit. As far as the Bay go its 40,JT,Young Black Brotha, as far as in back in the day. Can u name 1 successful independent album Short put out? Just name one....I'll wait.....

Okay I found a lil info on Short. In the early 80's he signed to a label called 75Girls with little success. Then he did start Dangerous Music and released Born To Mack independently (which I did not know,I stand corrected on this) and he sold upwards of 50k of this album on his own, which is very impressive especially in those days. Born to Mack was then re-released on Jive and went Gold. But in terms of being independent, Short still duz not rival the ingenuity and success of Ruthless Records. Or should I say for clarification purposes...Dangerous Music cannot compare to Ruthless Records.

Yes I am young, and No, Master P should not get full credit for other people's album sells. Stop putting words in my mouth. I did not say that Eazy didn't have "shit to do with them selling records." I said Eazy shouldn't be given credit for albums that he did not sell. Bone Thugs sold them records. Eazy gave them their juice. No doubt he was a reason why they sold records, but niggas bought Bone Thugs shit because of Bone Thugs, not because they were signed to Ruthless. You really over hear putting words in my mouth and I'm not with that shit.

Don't compare 50's situations and Bone Thugs situation. 50 had Dre and Em producing and featuring on his shit. Eazy rapped with Bone Thugs, but he doesn't even come close to the effect that Dre and Em have had on 50.

You have never heard of Short and Indendent? Are you deaf? Goddamn and you have the audacity to hint at me being slow? Ask anybody. I heard Nelly recently say in an interview with Pushing the Bay TV that Short inspired him to Independently start St. Lunatics.

"Born To Mack" was originally an indpendent release, and do to it's underground success, Jive re-released it and it went on to sell big time. Not if you plan on saying that every thing that Eazy released were sucessfully independent albums, I will have to just end this with insulting your intelligence. Because Eazy had a machine backing him that Too Short did not have. This machine, which I have desperately tried to explain to you, made Ruthless into what it was. Since you are into trying to get niggas to name shit, why don't you name one artist that has ever given Eazy E props for being and independent pioneer. Damn near every rapper in the game gives it up to Too Short in that department.

FOR THE 100 MILLIONTH TIME. I AM NOT COMPARING RECORD LABELS. Are you having trouble with you eyes or something? You original question was Eazy E vs. Any Bay Area rapper. Not Ruthless vs. Any Bay Area Record Label.

Okay u keep making excuse saying "the machine" "the machine" but thats my point!!!!!!!!!!!!

Short released 1 independent album and signed his career to the "Machine"
Eazy said..."fuck this trunk petty shit, Ima take my company to "the machine" where Short gave up after 1 release and signed his life over to the machine!! But he's some type of independent Guru? Short didnt have the hustle or sense to say hey...Ima sign to Dangerous Music and yall distribute and market whatever I want when I want! He didnt do that...but Eazy did.

And as far as Master P and No Limit!!! He shouldnt get credit for the 75million? 90 Percent of the artist that were signed to No Limit were garbage and we only bought it because it was No Limit....we aint give a fuck about MAC when he was with Cash Money, We aint give a fuck about Souljah Slim and Skull Dugery untill P made us give a fuck...these wasnt new niggaz to the game. LOL...Mystikal was on Jive (with Too Short) and was a barley gold artist. He gets with P and goes Platinum!! But P didnt have nothing to do with that?! LOL...Bone put out Bone enterprise before Ruthless....we didnt buy it cuz it sucked had no direction and it sucked somemore. Bone gets with Eazy...Eazy vouches for them, put them with the right producers, make them do the right songs, and pays for all this shit, they sell millions!! Eazy had nothing to do with that I guess. I figured u were young. I can tell.
