Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat performed a stunt with other Legends this past Monday. Late Wednesday night, Ricky was experiencing pain in his neck and shoulder, and immediately went to the hospital. It is not clear if his current condition is related to his performance on Monday night. WWE is waiting to hear more from the attending physicians.
hope he pulls through. Would have killed a lesser man.

NoDQ.com > WWE > Update on the condition of Ricky Steamboat
Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 07/01/2010 at 10:02 PM

Ricky Steamboat's condition has been upgraded to stable, although he is expected to remain in hospital for a while. As noted earlier, Steamboat suffered a brain aneurysm last night in Tampa, FL.

WWE has pulled the footage of the Nexus attack on Ricky Steamboat from its website. Although his aneurysm is not related to the angle, WWE thought it in good taste to take the footage down.

It's great how choking a perfectly healthy young guy with his tie will get you fired, but beating the crap out of an old man is PG and perfectly fine. lol@that.

I'm about done with raw. The only thing I'm still somewhat interested in is who the "secret" GM is, and what's being done with Bret Hart since it seems like he's still going to be involved at some point.

I was so hyped when they brought him back for that one match and he was still so fuckin good they gave him a few matches afterward. That was really good to see, and I wasn't even a Steamboat fan.

Ricky Steamboat's health has improved to the point he is expected to
return home to North Carolina later this week for a month of rest.
Doctors in Tampa now believe that 57-year-old Steamboat suffered a
ruptured blood vessel, which caused bleeding on his brain, and not
technically an aneurysm as originally diagnosed. "The WWE has been
completely supportive in their efforts to be sure Rick has the very best
doctors," said a family member adding that the company will release more
information on his condition in due course. WWE reported on Thursday,
just hours after Steamboat was admitted to hospital, that his ailment
was "most likely not related to his performance on Monday night." The
company has since removed videos of last week's angle from it's website
and YouTube channel.
