im pretty sure this has been said already but im too lazy to search through 15 pages to find a single quote.. but.

I don't see C/O's as Cops. Cop= Law enforcement..

you can walk out of your house, light a blunt and get fucked with by cops.. A C/O keeps things in order for those already fucked over by the police...

C.O.s are cops any way you cut it, if one is a corrections officer you swear to uphold and enforce the law= Cop

I'm not saying its technically a bad thing to be a cop, as much as people hate them society needs them IMO. I'm not the biggest fan of police but no one set me up and put me in jail, everything I've ever got locked up for I deserved it. In rick rosses case, he depicts a character glorifying a street life he never lived. In reality helped put away people living the life he glorified, its gotta be the biggest scandal in rap history.

People are always gonna test your street credibility when you are a rapper who raps about being a big time gangster. The law enforcement community has their hip hop police and it makes Rick Ross look like an undercover dick in my eyes.

If Rick Ross is ever gonna pick up the pieces to his entertainment career i think he should get into acting. The dude had so many people fooled into thinking he was the real deal and he was really 5.0 lol. He would probably do well in the movies.

Incarcerated former drug kingpin “Freeway” Ricky Ross has decided to break his silence on the recent revelations into the past of the rapper that bears his name, Miami artist Rick Ross.

Since the rapper’s debut, many have wondered of a possible connection, since the artist not only bears the name of the former kingpin, but also sports a similar beard and cites stories of extensive drug and criminal activity in his rhymes.

Now that the rapper, real name William Roberts, has been confirmed to have worked as a correction officer, the original Ricky Ross tells AllHipHop.com that he attempted to steer his rap counterpart away from public embarrassment.

“After seeing all the stuff that has been going on with the Correctional Officer (William Roberts) that stole my name, [it] makes me think back to a year and a half ago when we spoke,” Ross explained to AllHipHop.com. “I tried to talk to him like a big brother and let him know to be you, and that he couldn’t be me. And that if he wanted to rap the lifestyle that he couldn’t frame it based on my life.”

Roberts has repeatedly denied that he based his music persona on the real Ross’ criminal exploits.

Ross, who today regrets the actions that helped destroy his community and land him in prison, can only shake his head at the unnecessary predicament Roberts has put himself in.

“How different his life would have been if he would have taken my advice,” Ross reflected. “You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all the people all the time.”

In the early and mid 80’s, Ross controlled most of the Los Angeles drug trade, and had ties to the Iran-Contra scandal due to his suppliers.

In 1996 Ross was sentenced to life in prison for attempting to purchase over 100 kilos from a federal agent.

He successfully appealed and had his sentence reduced to 20 years.

Ross is scheduled to be released on August 13, 2010.

so is he skitzo or is there another guy with the same name? wtf is going on?!

and who the fuck is maino?!

actually, no. correctional officers do no swear to uphold and enforce the law.

enforcing the law entails chasing after "badguys" and solving crimes... a C/O is a babysitter to those who were caught.. would u consider the hall pass monitor in high school a cop?

let me kno the day you hear "freeze!!, Im a correctional officer!!"

It doesn't matter anymore because Hip-Hop is dead.... yeah their is still music but the Culture is gone... before if you were fake no one respected you.... I could care less about some artists like Akon... who cares if he was locked up for car theft.. not me I don't think of Akon as gangsta... but people like Rick Ross that portray gangsta life and were exposed as being fake are a joke....

All the Real G's are gone all that is left are Studio Gangstas

LMAO!!!!

I'm not a follower, if I myself think the music is tight I'm gonna bump it...I don't give a shit who it is and what everybody else think. Over half of these online people talkin' trash, live their life the complete opposite. Me, I'm gonna call it how I see it even if it's not what you want to hear. Cause at the end of the day, it's not what people want me to listen to, it's about what the fuck I want and feel like listening to. I been listening to Rap / Hip Hop since the 80's and I'm sure I listened and bought albums from fake rappers calimin' they were real (NWA etc ect...). It's 2008 and ain't nothin' changed. It's just a bunch of fuckin' stupid muthaphuckaz claimin' that rap is not real anymore. Maybe it's a fact that too many people listen to that whole heartly because it's the only way they can be Gangsta. Fuck all that, I listen because I like it, not to catch up with the Jones' and fit in.

And I can respect that, but fact of the matter is....what everybody is stating is nothing new.

CB-4 was based off of that...it's been happening, but I guess too many people are either too young, slow, or just plain stupid.

Enjoy the shit for what it is...ENTERTAINMENT.

its entertainment, because its supposed to be real life

and no, it has nothing to do with being stupid, young or slow,

2pac died,
Soulja Slim died
Biggie died,
pretty black died
mac dre died

a whole bunch or rappers have died in the streets, and you heard it in their lyrics

just because Rick ross lies about his shit doesnt mean the rap game is all lies and just entertainment,

it means that rick ross is is just lies and entertainment, even when he swears he lives it 100%

and im watching cb4 right now

Bruh were did you get this info from have you ever looked up the word entertainment?

and since when did death become entertaining if thats the case the rappers would have been extinct.

i highly disagree with opinions...
thats why rap exists

cause it represents real life struggle from the streets

i mentioned death as an example on how it's real, cause there is death in the streets(even before rap started)

if you ran into problems in the streets, then rapped about it

then you ran into problems in the streets, then rapped about it

but when you run into problems from what you make up in your music because you are trying to make up a persona that you never lived, thats when it becomes a problem, all simply for entertainment, therefor being a "fake"

just like remy ma got fucked over faking her whole image

at the end of the day, a song is entertainment, because it entertains people

I don't give a fuck who you are, if you say "I made a couple million dollars last year dealing weight" on a mainstream radio single played across America, you're gonna get called upon for it. I guess he figured people wouldn't catch onto that shit.

yeah like that,

when they asked 50 cent if he really robbed people and still killed etc..

he answered by saying "its just entertainment"

but when they asked rick ross, he denied, and said he was living it 100% real
but most his market doesnt care about that, so they say if he keeps making hits, everybody will forget

i dont really know about brotha lynch, i guess its like watching a horror movie and enjoying it
