i really dont care, if it sounds good ill slap it. It comes down to this, if u rap like ur a hitter, and one day ur put the test, and u fail, your career and reputation are hurt more than if you never fronted in the first place.

But hip hop has been soft lately, forgiving snitches and bitches. so fuck it. i just play what sounds good.

personally I don't like to listen to artist who are living in a fantasy world

music is suppose to be reflection of life... not visa versa

the real question is would you listen to rap if these rappers actually kept it real? or do you need the music with lyrical killing d-boying to make YOU feel hard?

most of these rappers who go to jail go to jail for dealing dope. how many of these rappers really shot a motha fucka? And if they did, would they really want to be rapping about it?

But yeah its entertainment. Maybe thats why fake rappers always get confronted by real gangsta rappers who don't selll.

I honestly believe nobody really gives a shit anymore (as it's been said and proved by a few in this thread). If the music is good, they'll bump it...period.

Besides, I don't really think many people are intrested in the "keeping it real rappers" anymore.

Just entertain muthaphuckaz. It's pretty much like anything. Nobody wants to keep watching "Reality" shows all the time...watch a movie simply for entertainment purposes from time to time. Ain't nothin' wrong with liking / enjoying something that's not "keeping it real".

In short, it's called maturing, or growing up (for those of you who find it hard to understand).

^Im grown and don't watch WWE... I don't read fairy tales. I don't watch Menace II Society and wave my gun like O Dogg.

Give me a some hard real raps... prime example: Tech N9ne he spits about his life, bitches on tour, drugs whatever but its shit he's done or goes through.

its entertainment - people get a little carried away and exagerate. but it comes from truth usually. u can tell when someones faking it usually or if not they eventually get caught (rick ross) etc. i look at it like movies based on true stories - yeah it happened but they make it look more glamourus. thats why they called artists

I give E-40 a pass...

EVEN if he's 45yrs old, just started growing dread locks, rapping over his children beats and helped carry a high school movement on his back. 40's music goes!
