Yeah I can imagine what the cities are like, never been to Thailand (yet) but other big asian cities. Also not really my thing but a good experience none the less.

What place you enjoyed the most and why?
Solly for the questions but I love asia. lol

I guess I liked Hua Hin the most because it was laid back. It wasn’t as small as the other places, but wasn’t as busy as Bangkok. I felt like you didn’t have to search as hard for quality and/or low prices on food/goods. Bangkok you either get tourist prices or you have to really know where you’re going to get a deal or a certain level of quality that you’re looking for. Hua Hin also has a laid back vacation vibe to it partly because the King has his vacation place there. But I also spent the most time in Hua Hin so it is easier for me to say that.

I’m usually not a lay on the beach kinda person, but I really enjoyed my time just lounging at the ocean in Hua Hin.

I would say though that if I didn’t have family currently living there I wouldn’t really have reason to ever go back there[Thailand] other than maybe for the food. Been there done that kinda thing.

I went without the wifey this time, but still with family. I’m not all that interested in Pattaya. Much more in Phuket.

I would say it was a good trip, but not great. It is like visiting just about any other tropical third world country in general though it may be hard to best Thailand on the food front.

Next time I’m going to go to the bridge over the river the river kwai and because I missed it this time would like to go to Cambodia to see Angkor Wat, but that might have to wait for a third trip.

Man I would also like to see Ankor Wat. You ever crossed to Burma?
I know about the food. I used to 'see' a thai broad.
Thailand seems appealing to me for about a month maybe.
But I'm going to stay away from the touristic places though.

I've heard this party is supposed to be good. Maybe you can check it out some time.

You ever crossed to Burma?
No but I could see it from where I was a few times.

Thailand seems appealing to me for about a month maybe.
I would say 100%. I'm not trying to down play Thailand at all. I sure didn't want to leave that's for sure. I've just been there now and don't feel like I NEED to go back. I think a month would be ideal and would recommend it totally.

fasho. How hot was it when you were there? I went in Oct and it was "cool" to them which in reality was in the 90's and practically 100% humidity I was sweating from the moment I stepped off the plane till I left.

I lost like 8 pounds in one day just walking around the temples. Gained it all back with all the food they kept feeding me!

oh yeah, I know you love Thai food, I do too some of my favorite, but if you ever make it to Cambodia their food is similar but different in that a lot, if not most all of their dishes are sweet (not spicy). It's something I never expected.

I have a second camera that I still haven't got back which has tons of pics of food (spiders on a stick and all that tourist stuff as well) that I've been wanting to post. I need to get that camera!

Awesome pics. Thailand is near the top of my list in places I want to visit.

CB, when you say that real kick boxing is not for tourists, what do you mean by that? Just curious, because I know Muay Thai is practically their national sport.
