Rumored homosexuality
Randolph Scott and Cary Grant
"Bachelor Hall" photo

Although Scott achieved fame as a motion picture actor, he managed to keep a fairly low profile with his private life. Off screen he became good friends with Fred Astaire and Cary Grant. He met Grant on the set of Hot Saturday and shortly afterwards they began rooming together in a beach house in Malibu that became known as "Bachelor Hall."

They would live together, on and off, for about ten years, presumably because they liked each other's company and wanted to save on living expenses (they were both considered notorious tightwads).[3]

As Scott shared "Bachelor Hall" with Cary Grant for twelve years, it was rumored that the two actors were romantically involved, and that the name "Bachelor Hall" and the reported parade of women there were invented by the studio who wanted to keep their valuable actors away from any public scandal. In his book, Cary Grant: Grant's Secret Sixth Marriage, Marc Eliot claims Grant had a sexual relationship with Scott after they met on the set of Hot Saturday (1932). In his book, Hollywood Gays, Boze Hadleigh, author of numerous books purporting to reveal the sexual orientation of celebrities, makes various claims for Scott's homosexuality. He cites gay director George Cukor who said about the homosexual relationship between the two: "Oh, Cary won't talk about it. At most, he'll say they did some wonderful pictures together. But Randolph will admit it – to a friend." (It should be noted that there is considerable disagreement about the veracity of Hadleigh's books.)[19] [20] [21] [22] [23] According to William J. Mann's book, Behind the Screen: How Gays and Lesbians Shaped Hollywood, 1910-1969, photographer Jerome Zerbe spent "three gay months" in the movie colony taking many photographs of Grant and Scott, "attesting to their involvement in the gay scene." In 1995, Richard Blackwell published his autobiography From Rags to Bitches, where he declared he was lovers to both Cary Grant and Scott.[24]

In 1944, Scott and Grant stopped living together but remained close friends throughout their lives. Both Grant and Scott consistently denied the allegations. Grant always vehemently denied being gay, and many of his friends have concurred over the years. Grant's insistence that he had "nothing against gays, I'm just not one myself," is treated at length in Peter Bogdanovich's book of essays about actors, Who the Hell's in It. Scott's adopted son, Christopher, also challenged the rumors. Following Scott's death, Christopher wrote a book entitled, Whatever Happened to Randolph Scott, in which he rebuts rumors of his father's alleged homosexuality. Scott's wife and daughter denied the rumors, too, as did many of Scott's close friends. Budd Boetticher, the director most often linked with Scott's work, had this to say about the rumors: "Bullshit."[12]

Prior to and between his first and second marriages Scott was romantically linked with several prominent film actresses, including Lupe Velez, Sally Blane, Claire Trevor, and Dorothy Lamour.

THE OAKLAND RAIDERS AINT GOIN NOWHERE. KEEP DREAMING NINER FANS. AND HAVE FUN IN SANTA CLARA!
I like how raider fans act as if Santa Clara is 6 or 7 hours away and say things like "have fun in Santa Clara." Hahahaha it wouldn't bother me one bit if they move to Santa Clara. They'd still be the SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS, they'd just be playing CLOSER to me, which means less time getting home. Not a problem for me. Not at all.

The raiders on the other hand.. You act like there's no chance of them moving to LA. MOTHERFUCKERS, THEY'VE DONE IT BEFORE. That should tell you guys something. I wouldn't be all confident saying they aint going nowhere. Learn from history. Our team has never betrayed us and moved away, yours has.

Fuck all LA teams, thats like being a Laker fan, lets say the warriors moved to LA, and the bay got a new expansion team, what team u gonna support?
That is not the same. The expansion team has no history. The raiders and Niners are Bay Area rivals.

I would never become a raider fan for the fact I can't stand the majority of their fans. The team itself I really don't give a fuck about. Their whole image seems dull to me and I see nothing about them that would interest me.

you guys say you wouldn't support them because you would have to drive hella far to go to a game

what if you moved somewhere... like outta state... say you had a job opportunity where you could make big money in say... Dallas... for example...

would you become a Cowboys fan?
I wouldn't support them because them moving is betrayal to their damn fans. Period.

Fuck having to drive to see them, that's not the point. A team establishes a loyal fan base locally and should also remain loyal to their fans.

BOTH HOMEY! U KNOW DAMN WELL IF IT'$ A PRE OR REG. GAME BOTH TEAM$ GO OUT THERE 2 PLAY! IT'$ A PRIORITY 2 $HOW WHO'$ THE BE$T TEAM IN THE BAY!
I don't know what you've been watching, but neither team comes to play in preseason. NOBODY comes to play in preseason. Fuck the preseason. Regular season is what counts, and your squad has not defeated the Niners in over a decade in the regular season. We beat you the year you guys got embarrassed in the Super Bowl and we stomped that ass in 06. I've NEVER tried to brag about a preseason win, that is just pathetic.

Well, they don't play their starters any more than they do against any other team in preseason and I don't notice them playing any harder. You gotta understand the two organizations don't care about each other, especially in a meaningless preseason matchup. The fans are the ones who make it a rivalry, the Niners and raiders players and staffs could care less.

Fatal... do you really hate most Raiders fans? It aint that serious... I mean I got hella boys who are Niners fans

Fatal sounds like this guy

Phil R. of San Francisco and a 49ers fan said that "Raider fans are just thugs, gang members and pimps, and we are a much higher brand of fan; we don't consort with the likes of people like them. Raider fans make me sick."
