Do you guys keep your External Hard Drives "on" every night?? Is that a good thing to do or should I turn it off when I turn my computer off?? I'm curious because I have over 1000's of ripped music stored in my External Hard Drive and I don't wanna lose em one day.. Someone help me out!!

do yourself a favor and burn all of your music those on CD's.....

my external hard drive is fuckin up..... and luckily i foreseen these series of events a LONG time ago...... ever so often my EHD would do some punk shit and cause my computer to damn near hang..... so right now i don't have anything on their that i wouldn't be better off losing anyways....

I leave my shit on all night too. I guess i better turn it off. Its a fucken western digital and its been a good so far.

Turn it off, hard drives only go for so long, prolong your crash as long as you can. But as stated above. BACK UP YOUR SHIT onto dvd-r or cd-r ( if you have to).

Thats what I got.. I only store my music/videos/pictures on that drive.. I leave my shit on for days, but I am afraid that one day that it will die on my ass b/c of leaving it on for so long..
