Man, I'm suprised of the stupidity of some of you, even for the siccness. Why does it make a difference to you if 2 people in love get married? Because what kids are taught in school, I never learned a damn thing about marriage in school, what are they going to learn exactly? Can a man and woman get married? YES. Can a Man/Man or Woman/Woman get married? YES. Whats wrong with that? Sex education? You have to sign a release form to have your kid attend sex ed anyway. Why not just dont sign it? This has nothing to do with church, churches are for ceromonies, the only thing that means your married is a license, if your church doesnt want to have gay wedding performed there, good for them. And whose the dumbass that said the pastor would get sued if he declines them? A pastor can decline whoever he wants regardless, whatever he does is seperate from the law, churches dont even pay taxes. What difference does it make what is "traditionally" done, there have been gay folks for just as long as there have been people, its not "traditional" for other races to marry either, that doesnt make them being together wrong. And who brought up animals as the example of "bad things to come" what exactly is coming? Theres only male and females on this planet, what so offends you down the line? So what if they get married and get a tax break? That doesnt affect you either. And all of you that are so adimant about holding on to the sancitity of marriage want to explain why more than half fail? If 2 consenting adults want to be together who the hell are you to tell them no? I doesnt affect me one bit, let them get married, let them enjoy their lives, and mind your own business....

I'm voting No. I can careless bout 2 gay people's (men and women) personal life or actions. Its their right and it doesnt effect me at all.

I'm very close to 2 lesbian women that are raising 2 kids and are doing a WAY better job of providing a family environment than any of my homies.

I grew up in Washington State and moving to SF was a huge change. I've never worked with so many gay people (I work at a BIG HOSPITAL). All of them are kool in my book and dont come at me sideways. Only a couple female co workers like to tease and joke.

Where does it say they dont? The consitution is meant for varying interpretations and thats the jobs of judges, to interpret its definitions pertaining to peoples rights, and uphold peoples rights. Thats why the constitution is so vague so it can be interpreted differently based on how times change, it doesnt say a lot of things. It does say equal rights among men, and it does say the pursuit of hapiness.

Yes, the constitution is vague so it can be interpreted throughout the years, and yes it does say equal rights among men...thanks to the civil rights movement. However, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 had to do with race, color, religion, sex or national origin...it had nothing to do with sexual orientation. The constitution says absolutely nothing about marriage, heterosexual or otherwise.
