Well I'm at another crossroads in my life where I'll be changing careers.
I'd like to pursue something fulfilling where I can make a difference..an instant impact. was thining of joining the military for awhile until Deep Thought talked some sense into me.
Was thinking of growing 26 inch long dreadlocks and becoming a backpack rapper...and piss and moan about the government all day long. But nah, not for me.
Was thinking of finishing my BS in Info Systems and get paid 6 figures for what I get peanuts for now...but I'd rather not ever set foot in an office ever again.
Thought occured to me...police officer. Protecting and serving, putting your life on the line to be there for the weak...there's a whole bunch of romance to it. Most cops I try to talk to are humorless and just tell me to take the NYPD civil service exam and see how I do. Then they usually ask me "ARE YOU STAYING OUT OF TROUBLE??" and where I live.
Anyway...is PD an honorable profession still?
