The meaning of "underdog" has been officially changed. Throughout this week, my observation has been that Denver and ESPECIALLY the Hawks are basically the real underdogs in peoples eyes. Bear in mind, the official line is Seattle by 4 (and Denver by 3).

1) A poll I posted on the SICCNESS SPORTS, 18 picked Carolina, 16 picked Seattle

2) ESPN's Gameday Crew, 2 out of 3 picked Carolina

3) Fox Football Preview Cable Show, 3 out of 3 picked Carolina

4) CNNSI 5 out of 6 picked Carolina

What I see this as is teams who kicked so much ass in the regular season being "punished" for not having an extra game in January to look impressive in. Maybe the Seahawks would've blown somebody out in the 1st round had they not won 11 straight games during the season.

YOU GUYS DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT THE 206

GO head, say they will get shat on by Pittsburgh, and even if you're right a lot of you all are batting about .100 when it comes to the Seattle Seahawks.

They were -9.5 (some places -10) in the game against Washington, that is a pretty heavy favor for the Seahawks.

The spread I was on was -3.5 for the Seahawks, and I got that one.

For the superbowl they are actually favored again.

I'LL BE THE FIRST TO ADMIT I WAS TOTALLY WRONG, I CANT BELIEVE HOW WELL THEY HANDLED CAROLINA BUT ONTO TO PLAY AN ELITE TEAM AND PITTSBURG IS JUST PLOWING THROUGH EVERYBODY, YALL PLAYED A VERY GOOD GAME TODAY BUT PITTSBURG DEFENSE WILL SHUT YALL DOWN, THERES NO OFFENSIVE LINE THAT CAN CONTAIN PITTSBURG AND THERE OFFENSE HAS BEEN MAKING GREAT DEFENSES LOOK WACK, THE STEELERS HAVE PUT IT ALL TOGETHER AT THE RIGHT TIME AND THEY ARE THE TEAM TO BEAT.

I know that's the crazy thing, but what I'm talking about is on the street, what the folks think. Ironically, Las Vegas is really the only one that had much faith in them.

the fucked up thing is that the refs gave the Panthers that punt return for a touchdown. That was sad. I cannot belive that they picked up the flag and didnt make the booth pick it up for them.

After that no call, plus the no interception last week, really makes me question the intentions of the NFL.

I never thought I would be alive to see this day. Holy shit. The fucking seachickens are in the superbowl.

Well, it's not really possible to "overrate" the seahawks. They're a 9-7 team if they play in the AFC, and that's being optimistic. They'll probably cover the spread, and that's as close as this average team is going to come to victory this year.

Well the people on the Siccness are a small portion of fans in the world, so let them be.
The media, well ESPN is ESPN, you know what that stands for. West coast gets no props at all, ever.

The odd makers and the gambles are putting a lot of money on Seatlle. Now being at -180 on the money line, that's a bad bet. I may take Steelers just becuase of the +160. A lot of money going on Seattle everyday. I hope Seattle does take it, and they have a better chance, but the bet is a bad one.

False.

They are not favored.

The comments come yet again.
What the hell happened?
The roles completely flipped for some reason.
Both www.wsex.com and sportsbook.com flipped the odds in one day.
.
What the hell, I have never seen this before!!!

Now it says that Pitts are minus 180 and Seahawks are plus 160.
Pitts giving up 3.5 points at -120 and Seattle for EVEN on the spread.

I will make some calls tommorow, something is up.
No amount of money dumped can push that odds that hard.

Yes it was for nothing. If Indianapolis was in the NFC, they would have gone undefeated with their 3rd stringers.

Scoring points when you play against Dannington Community College every week earns you zero props.
