The purge continues in Buffalo.
On the same day that guard Derrick Dockery was dumped only two years after striking it rich via free agency, the Bills have parted ways with tight end Robert Royal, according to Adam Schefter of NFL Network.
Per NFLPA records, Royal was signed through 2010. He was due to earn a base salary of $1.525 million in 2009, and $1.44 millon in the final year of the deal.
Royal has spent three years in Buffalo after four with the Redskins. His 33 catches for 351 yards in 20098 were career highs.
In 2006 and 2007, he appeared in every game, starting 15 each year. Last season, he played in fifteen games but started only seven.
