Official 49ers Vs Raiders Game Day Thread!

The niners came back and won when the 2nd and 3rd stringers were in there .

When the Niners' first string defense was in there, the score was 13-0 SF. The raiders scored all their points on the 9ers' backups. They drove on the Niners' first unit, but the Niners replaced their D with the 2nd unit a few plays before LaMont Jordan got his 3-yard TD.

So if you really wanna get down to it, your boys only scored 7 points on the Niners starters (I'm being generous with that 7 too, because technically it was scored on the 2nd stringers but they did drive down the field on the first unit).

That's all that really matters.

But the Raiders, who had made little or no headway in their first three possessions, began to find some success during a 17-play drive in which they converted four third downs. The last several plays in the march came against the second-team defense, including Lamont Jordan's 3-yard touchdown run pulling the Raiders to within 13-7 with 9:35 remaining in the second quarter.

i think our first units honestly outplayed the niners. you guys got great field position on your first two drives and couldnt capatalize. once the raiders settled down you the niners couldnt stop them. the raiders really shut that run down.

Exactly, in the late 2nd quarter it was a mixture of starters and backups in there for both teams. The niners left smith in the whole first half including the receivers and o-line.

Anyways it's a preseason game it amounts to nothing. I'm a raider fan but I am not one who would be rubbing it in the face of niners because it means nothing. Now if it were a regular season game that would be a different story.

Niner Defense is pathetic to perform like that against the Raiders shitty offense. They put no pressure on the QB, at all.. and its preseason..
