Vamps, i agree with you on every word you typed. thats why everybody supporting this protest is super on one. they're going after the wrong people because the right people to go after is their fav administration. that all im sayin. they want to shit on the Tea Party, but you honestly dont agree with the overall message from the Tea Party? less taxes and smaller government? you live in CA. do you really like living in this state where they constantly make new laws and tell us how to raise our kids? CA makes it hard to want to even create a business here. Tea Party has ignorant racists in the "organization", a minimal amount. should the Occupy Movement be looked at as a bunch of hippies litterly shitting on the street and demanding free money? or is that a minimal amount? do you see the picture there?

im all for protestors fighting for the cause, but if your purposely going after a scapegoat cus you dont want to go against your beloved God then it gets no respect. DC being "controlled" by Wall St is a fuckin excuse. lobbyists make DC go round. DC benefits from giving these corporate giants what they want. how is that getting over looked? cus you got a Democrat in office. thats not firmly standing up for the cause. thats cowardly sitting up.

id say the same thing if the protestors were right wingers and Bush was in office being purposely over looked.

What it comes down to is simple: These big fucking corporations need to quit shipping jobs/production overseas to fatten their greasy pockets even more. Banks need to pay for the mess they created. That is what the people want. Build the backyard, not overseas....

Fuck a democrat and republican. We are Americans, that shit is the problem plain and simple.

The problem is the globalization. The products you produce in America have to compete against products from overseas. It should not be too difficult to produce higher quality products in the US that people will choose over cheaper, lower quality products. How come a country like Germany which has way higher employment costs (universal health insurance, retirement, taxes, etc. - more than 30% of my salary went into those things, and I had a low income), is still one of the biggest exporters in the world? You just have to produce innovative and good quality products.
At the same time you need to have a middle class that is able to afford the good quality products. If most people can only afford to shop at Walmart, you only get cheap "China shit". So if you drop minimum wages, get illegal workers, are more concerned about shareholders than your employees, you are fucking up your or another "home producing" companies customer base.
China is moving in the opposite direction, building up the low and middle class to be more independent and to be able to sell the Made In China products in China. If the CEOs in the US won't only think about how to get a couple more millions in bonuses, but think about the employees, the people, the country, then the US is on it's way to a real fucked up place.

This is a topic where I could write a lot about, but I just try to make some not so in depth points. Sorry about that. I am one of those people that got outsourced to China. This country is doing almost everything right and is seriously taking over the world.

SOOO...i finallly took a trip down to wall street to check it out today. and i gotta say...i thought it was a media ploy to keep portraying them as losers....BUT fuck man i went in there with a supportive attitude about them and left pretty disillusioned.

i basically just saw a bunch of runaway homeless street kids...or homeless type adults. like 85% of the ppl there looked like theyve been meth or heroine users at some point in their lives..if not currently. hell, it kinda looked like a juggalo convention. i also could see a lot of sheepish kids there who simply wanted to be a part of some collective group and have some type of purpose in life...like kids who suddenly become gothic or greasers or some shit and 2 yrs later are completely normal again. from what i heard i thought i'd see more macbook type liberal college students just trying to grunge it up a bit, but saw very few. the majority were real deal junkie/homeless/gothic outcast type circus show characters who were just happy to have cameras around them and something to do (LOTS of media there).

and i know some of you are thinking "well no shit, we've been saying that for weeks about those idiots"...but i had to see it for myself before fully basing my judgement on second hand sources.

what really did it for me was listening in on a group meeting and just like everyones been saying its absolutely true....that shit was unorganized as hell and just way to sloppy to be taken serious. there was a mixture of like 16-30 yrs olds within this 15 person meeting...and i swear i felt i was watching a group of 10 yr olds trying to act and talk like adults and discuss important adult stuff...but just the way you watch little kids try to act like grown ups and you just laugh and walk away, thats exactly how listening on this meeting felt....like kids playing pretend politicians and generals talking about strategies and shit. they might get shut down though...cause the topic of the meeting was how to respond if the cops really do try and shut them down tomorrow.

but @ foulmouth - from what i saw these ppl dont give a shit for obama as much as you'd think. they may not be going after the white house cause corporate bankers and ceos are their generally united target....but they mostly on a general anti establishment tip.

i'm getting what you're saying about holding the gov accountable too, but like vamps said, you're still too caught up in the political theatre. even though you know dems and reps are the same shit, you're putting too much focus on that division....a lot more then they are it seems like. and thats all its intended to do - divide ppl - same as race, religion, etc. - the more ppl stay disagreeing bc of those bullshit things the longer the power elite goes unchallenged by a massive collective organized to challenge their exploitation.

ill be the first to admit that even though i believe what i just said, and would love to see the bourgeoisie take a major blow im a piece of shit whos become too embedded in this system and am too afraid to give up the material things ive come to be dependent on....like the sicc.

with this said, alot of big unions are joining the movement and actually speaking and "representing". now think about this and tell me why these protestors dont understand what the fuck they're doing. why is it good to get a union job? the pay and benefit package. oh and the fact that its damn near impossible to get fired. now why does one get paid good through a union? cus if you dont give the (very well paid) union rep what he says the union employees damand, they strike. now a little evil capitalistic business, lets say a warehouse, is pushing goods to consumers and has the product at a set price. if 51% of the employees vote to start a union and it goes through, what ever product that evil business was selling is going to go up in price. the consumer gets fucked. sure as an employee your set, but the rest of society got fucked in that deal. rather it be a product on the shelf or your city streets being fucked up and not maintained. unions are the reason why Vallejo filed bankruptsy and now the residents have to suffer through it. shit, how much did the City of Vallejo's unionized goverment workers get paid? the residents paid their salary when some of them residents were gettin paid less. how is that fair? its not but its union. your payin for their generous salary, benefit and retirement package. it fucks every body over unless your an employee. how is that not greed? union reps fuckin shit up for their own greed. pushing more weight to the consumer/resident. these are the same basic issues that has the protestors on Wall Streets ass. yet the unions can go over there and "be on their side". how many cities have issues with police/fireman union contracts? and thats city tax money. unions are left and thats a lefty protest. unions know that and thats the only reason they are in it now. Wall St and unions are the governments 2 best friends. yet the protestors cant seem to do the math on that. if all this effort was concentrated on the US government it would be some revolutionary shit and shit would change. this shit their doing is a cowardly feel good band aid. whats gonna happen when/if Romney or Cain ends up being the president in a couple years...its gonna be the same shit. why? cus you didnt go after the right people. if this was directed at the government, no matter R or D in the house, shit would change. if a republican was in office right now it would be on a whole 'nother level. the protestors wouldnt be scared and would take joy in occupying Capitol Hill.

they are so fuckin misguided breh.

thats the problem. they are not voicing that. their anger is directed at Wall St. that dont show DC nothing. the sentiment is there im sure, but its not significant. theres 1000 different "issues" they have, the only one that matters, and the only one that can change it all is the government. the united target should be the government. not cus its Obama, but because one of 2 parties controls the White House. and both those parties are fuckin this country up together on the fuckin golf course.

see how easy that is player? you got the black and latino vote super fucked up, just like the D's want you to have it. "the man" got mexicans and blacks where they want them. feeding from their hand. you keep food out for stray cats, the stray cats are gonna love you and keep coming back for more. its marketing at its finest.

for the record. i am not Republican. im pro abortion, pro weed, anti church, pro gay marriage, anti nanny-ism. so if you know anything about the GOP (if you know what that is) other than what you see on MSNBC and the Daily Show, im obviously not Republican. but i fiscally agree with them, in theory. so i have the privilege of looking at the whole picture with out having a political bias. political bias aint nothing but sheepin it up, which most of this thread does.
Hey big guy read my previous post again with your boyfriends glasses on this time. If that doesn't make sense to you then your frontin on even possessing a brain.

Just cuz your uncle used to read you articles out of the Wall Street Journal while you hummed him doesn't mean you know anything about fiscal policy. Democrats willingly pay more taxes to fund programs that help out the poorest people therefore poor people should vote democrat.

And big LULZ at the "GOP" reference. Yea minorities should vote for a party that refers to itself as the Grand Old Party. The old part refers to slavery, segregation and a time when America was run solely by whites.

Go read somethin and get back to me

Want to know WHY the Democrats do that? So the poor will rely on government assistance. Once you are in that system, it is EXTREMELY hard to get out. And guess what? People using those programs are now dependent on somebody else...which keeps them down even longer.

Democrats also have a long history of involvement with white supremacy groups.

Go read something and get back to me.

I guess if they didn't have the government assistance to rely on they would be super broke and homeless like post Earthquake Haiti or post Katrina NO. People without any help or options can get real desperate. Run up in your house desperate, take your old lady desperate that kinda shit.

Off topic tho, this thread is about Wall Street running American into the ground and the banks getting bailed out with our money (strange republican policy but I guess extra rich business gets a break but War Vets and crazy people have to fend for thereselves). The problem is no real laws or regulations came out of the fiasco and this is what is being protested. I think these questions need to be answered by politicians and banks alike. If pure capitalism worked we would not have bailed out banks or anybody and America would not have a financial system to you idiots to defend, other than trading shells and looking like the Book of Eli.

Or the government could show people how to be self-reliant.

I'm sorry, I've seen the brokest of broke people rise up out of poverty and do quite well. It's not impossible, it just takes a lot of work and motivation.

I can't take your argument seriously any longer. Strange republican policy? You don't know who bailed the banks out? I'll give you a hint...he came after George W. Bush, and his name starts with an O and ends with BAMA.

Chief, duuuuuuuude. The bailout is a legislative issue, not an executive call. Look at how all your favorite republican congressman (that's grown person terminology for members of the senate and house of representatives(which is grown person terminology for elected officials of our legislative branch of the federal government)). I can school you bro it might just take a minute.

Tell me how these republicans voted on the bailout package. A % for and a% against will suffice
