like ive said previously most RBs in the leauge get super infalted stats in preseason late in the game....micheal bush needs to work with the first string and play against a first string before classifying him as a steal...hes coming off a major injury and when injurys happen like that early in your career its devasting....outsider looking in on MBUSH

He was injured in college not the NFL. He's had a full year to recover and still showed up in shape to play football. If you can't see the talent that Michael Bush has then that's on you. The boy got talent believe it and he's lookin' real good!

Quinton Gainter has talent too (to be in the nfl you gotta be an elite talent even if your 4th string practice squader)....has extremly good numbers in the pre-season too....but im short of calling him a steal because of what i said....RBs get inflated stats in the pre-season....and when you get to the 3rd string/4th string they go up even more....

Im pretty confident Bush can be successful running against first stringers when given the opportunity. He's got the raw talent and RB is a position that is easier to adapt to going from college to the pro's. Aslong as the line keeps run blocking well Im sure whoever is running the ball for us will do ok. Bush will be dope.

This dude mooreblock is a nut. He'll bash and down the Raiders in a minute but then as soon as someone starts getting on Vince/Lendale he's quick to say stupid things like "you don't watch as many Titans game as I do", "I know my team", "we were down to our 4th string wide receiver that's why Vince Young struggled", etc...

He'll bring out a book of excuses for his squad. Everybody who knows football knows that the Titans defense is what wins them games. They play control the clock by running fat boy up the gut and playing defense. Vince has yet to prove he can beat you, from the pocket with his arm (without running).

im not bashing MBUSH im mearly stating facts that RBs get infalted stats in preseason against 3rd/practice squad players.....if yall think MBUSH is going to be some kind of stand out thats yall but we will see what he can do when he actually plays against a starting lineup which he HASNT done yet.....he hasnt proved shit.....like i said i can say quinton gainther is going to be the next LT with his 10+ YPC but im in reality

vince young got us to 8-8 when our defense was next to last in the leauge his rookie year...31st!!! ....how do you explain that one tony? was it our special teams that won it for us that year? was it our kicker? drew bennett? bo scaife? travis henry had a solid season rushing but he didnt get in the end zone nearly enough

quit talkin out your ass fool.....

Raiders' Shaky returner Higgins gets another chance
By Steve Corkran

Article Launched: 08/21/2008 09:16:29 PM PDT

ALAMEDA — Second-year player Johnnie Lee Higgins made the most of his opportunity as the primary return man on punts and kickoffs in Oakland's first exhibition game, Aug. 8 against the 49ers.

The second game brought about the opportunity to solidify his standing. However, he fumbled a punt at his 5-yard line that the Tennessee Titans recovered and returned for a touchdown.

Now, Higgins is on shaky ground, unsure whether he will retain one or both chores, or even a roster spot. His best opportunity to sway coach Lane Kiffin's wavering position comes Saturday in a game against the Arizona Cardinals.

In that game, Higgins will handle both punt return and kick returns, as Kiffin seeks to make better sense out of a muddled situation.

"We'll just look for him to improve on it," Kiffin said. "The No. 1 thing is ball security."

On Thursday, the Raiders worked out Darren McFadden, Louis Rankin, Adimchinobi Echemandu, Tyvon Branch and Higgins on kick returns.

Branch participated despite wearing a cast on his right hand to protect the thumb injury he sustained earlier in training camp. Ultimately, Kiffin said, Branch is the ideal player for kick returns.

"He's got the speed and he was catching the ball really well all through the offseason with us," Kiffin said.

"And he was good at it in college. So, hopefully, he'll be the guy when he gets his cast off."

he may make the team...we usually dont carry four RBs but the coachs like him for his work ethic and toughness....im not sure what this says about chirs henry....but i doubt he will get cut before Quinton even if Quinton is the better back right now...

i pull for all my players but im just making an example....

First of all why are you comparing some no name like quinton gainer to michael bush? Bush at Louisville was a heisman candidate his sophmore and junior seasons and if he had not got injured would have probably been a top 5 pick in the draft.

Bush is basically a 100% recovered, and especially against the niners where he was playing against some of their 1st stringers was very impressive. If you can't see Bush's potential thus far you don't much about football.

It's obvious your hating on him cause you've been hating on the raiders for awhile now. Maybe its because your a disgruntled titans fan that lives in california and roots for a team thats on the other side of the country?

I wonder what this thread would have been like if the titans drafted bush...hmmm

maybe something like this:

why are all you bashing MBUSH im mearly stating facts that his stats in preseason against 1st squad players are impressive.....if yall think MBUSH is going to be some kind of flop, we will see what he can do when he actually plays against your starting lineup.....he has proved himself....
