this game is going to be insane, and as a fan...i wish i could go for the experience alone

so what its a blizzard basically....hard to throw a ball in that ...meaning its a smash mouth/ground and pound style game the packers are not built for offensively or defensively...aaron rogers fresh off a collarbone which i bet will sting a bit more in the frozen cold...this game is going to come down to turnovers though ....the sticky gloves thee guys use do absolutely nothing if not make things worse with wetness..hopefully they arent worn...gonna be an epic battle i believe

why is it even an issue? it has nothing to do with him as a player, but where does shit like that come from? or was it started by a sullen bears fan? 2-0-Sixx @2-0-Sixx
Never heard that rumor before. I think thats just Aaron Rogers being Aaron Rogers. He wasn't asked directly about being a fag he was asked about rumors in general. The only rumors going on this year is he might not be a good team leader or he doesn't get along well with some teammates. I think that's what he was being asked about then Rogers says "oh the rumor that I'm gay?" Lol no one said he was gay

Ummm They have a FREAK running back named Eddie Lacy who is a HOG. He is a ground and pound guy all day. SO The Packers are built for that offensively. We have Gore and Hunter and an offensive line that road grades and beats teams down. Its going to a GREAT Game.

And worn gloves? Come on guy, these players change cleats 2-3 times a game, you dont think them gloves will be BRAND new out the box? And lets be clear, gloves or no gloves its going to be BELOW 0 with a -30 degree wind chill.

I believe its going to be in the neighborhood of 24-17 score and them Niners get it done!

Its gonna be cold around here, maybe -15

How the hell are the players gonna cope? They should move the game to an indoor stadium

I know dutch pointed it out already, but have you heard of eddie lacy? Dude is an absolute beast. People who think green bay can't ground and pound anymore must not watch football. Also, you have to factor in that the packers players are used to being in the cold. These guys practice in it, live in it everyday. They're more accustomed to it. Not saying it won't bother them either, and obviously everyday isn't -15, but still... you have to figure aaron rodgers is more comfortable throwing in the cold than kap. I know kap played in some cold weather at Nevada, I was at that game where they beat boise state and it was fucking freezing (not below zero, but fucking cold). He's still probably not gonna be as comfortable in the weather as Rodgers. With all that being said, the game will come down to the niners defense, which will ultimately win the game. I wouldn't be shocked if green bay won, but I'd put my money on the Niners.... I'll say 20-17 niners. Should be a great game

Lol you being sarcastic? This is the way the game has been played for a 100 years.

Plus nowadays on the sidelines they have giant heaters on full blast, big jackets to stay warm when they aren't on the field, etc. They'll be fine.

green bay will not be running on the niner defense...

im not sure how many games the packers have actually played this year in this weather? but i do recall the niners last season at foxborough against the patriots...what everyone said was going to be a loss..you dont beat the pats at their home in december night...granted, it wasnt snow...but raining and still very cold ...

to me rogers is coming off a collarbone injury, and injuries like that just dont heal quickly..sure he is good enough to play..but that injury might start stinging ...pain..and if he goes down a few times on it..they might just pull him from the game ...i have the same worries with frank gore and not being 100% due to cold weather injury pain..but our offense is deep and the defense has just been vicious as of late...i cant say that really for green bay..their defense is trash...the only advantage is i see is home field..when if the NFL would have gotten it correct it should be a home game in SF going by the season standings ...but oh well..this game will be won more so on the ground than through air and niners back field is deep with talent and with no clay matthews ...i dont see the match up ...but i cant wait for this game...should be a game for the ages ...and what better place than the frozen tundra

I guess when somebody dies from hypothermia, the nfl will do something.

Snow games are cool, but I think new stadiums now should be built with roofs

the gloves dont matter, how many times you change them...that awesome sticky material on the insides as soon as they touch water they become smooth..you can wipe them off but thats only temporary

i have those 49er vaporjet gloves ..and they work great until i reach into the cooler and grab beer in which case they become ultra slick

so balls become harder to catch and hold on to

anything can play a factor in this type of game

Well obviously it will be tough to run on the niners, but it's tough for any team to run on the niners. You said the packers aren't built for a ground and pound game offensively or defensively. I'll give you that they aren't on defense. However, they have the 7th ranked rushing offense, and haven't had a healthy eddie lacy and rodgers all year. Had both been healthy all year they'd probably be ranked higher than that. On offense they can beat you through the air and on the ground. Yes, it's hard to run on the niners, but gb is probably one of the top 5 teams that could have the mosy success on them

Ultimately it doesn't matter because I agree with you. I pick the niners to win. I'm just saying don't discredit the packers run game. I don't think the collarbone will be an issue. Rodgers is supposed to be fully healthy. It took so long to come back because he had to be medically cleared. He wouldn't be out there if he.wasn't healthy
