I'll catch hate for this (well really add to it :cheeky:) but I thought this movie was decent. The directing was actually superb, they used great angles and techniques for capturing the scenes; action and storyline. The storyline was so so, a notch above most action films.

The main problem I hear is that Nicolas Cage wasn't good for the role at all and thats fair enough, it didn't bother me enough to turn it off and I thought he played a likable and believable character.

Give it about a 6-7

Also, I co-sign the fuck out of Lord of War & Matchstick Men. Weather man was interesting to watch.
I guess you haven't seen the original...

I haven't been able to take Nic Cage seriously in a role, for a long time. Here's one of the reasons. lol

that was hilarious! i'll be sure and never watch it lol. thats all i needed to see. i think cage has always had good and bad movies; maybe it's just more noticeable now that he's a bigger name. hes been in about 60 movies, so i'm not surprised that there are definitely a lot more bad ones. most recently, kick-ass was good and bad lieutenant was decent. he probably has some good movies left in him.

I agree 206, there seemed to be something about him that bothered me, but no doubt his movies speak for themselves. Catch Me If You Can is one of my top movies.
