i've seen every corner in the league get burned by them dudes. i've also seen champ play real well against those wr's as well. champ is one of the best in the league and proves it with his play.
champ was injured last year and came back ealr i belive and he still played decent. and if champ was overrated then HOLY shit newman is and i'm not sayin newman is overrated at all cause i like him but champ is better.

i myself have seen all three of these games of the mentioned receivers all putting in work against champ bailey.
so are you trying to say that champ bailey is overrated based on three games where he got shitted on?

that's cool that they've put in work against bailey, but, these are three instances, and maybe could be a couple more more instances out of 141 games bailey has played in his 10-year career in which a wide receiver has gotten the best of bailey.
there are many other top tier wide receivers(marvin harrison, reggie wayne, randy moss, steve smith) that bailey has covered in the nfl. some he might've shut down, some he might've allowed a couple catches.
anyways, cornerbacks will give up catches...just so happens that champ bailey is one of the best at allowing the fewest amount of catches. you might say he gave up a lot of catches because he has high tackle totals, but he is also a very good run defender.

WELL.. FOR ONE HE WAS DRAFTED 5TH OVERALL, HE’S GOOD BUT NOT GREAT. DEFINITELY NOT GREAT ENOUGH TO WARRANT THAT HIGH OF A DRAFT PICK. HIS STATS ARE CONSISTANT, BUT NOT EXCELLENT. TEAMS DON’T GAME PLAN AROUND THIS GUY. HE DOESN’T TAKE AWAY THE SIDE OF THE FIELD HE PLAYS ON LIKE SOMEONE LIKE CHAMP BAILEY OR CHARLES WOODSON( IN HIS PRIME), OR NNAMDI ASOMUGHA DOES. HE’S A PRETTY GOOD TACKLER BUT HE’S ALSO NEVER HAD MORE THAN 4 INT’S IN A SEASON. THAT’S NOT AN ELITE DB. AND IT’S NOT BECAUSE HE DOESN’T GET THROWN AT. trust me, he takes away his half of the field. i'll agree, he might've not done it as well in this last season as he did in the 2005 and 2006 season since he was injured throughout most of the season.
how are you gonna compare nnamdi to terence? don't get me wrong, i like nnamdi. and i know nnamdi pulled down 8 in 2006, but last year he had 1, thus having 9 for his career.
and these two have been in the league since 2003, and terence newman got 16 picks.
and since he doesn't command respect from qb's, won't that make him somewhat underrated?
and who is giving terence newman hype? what sports shows are giving him hype? only hype newman ever received was because he and jon kitna were going back and forth before the cowboys and lions game last year.
