Thanks to everyone giving props on the song. Hammer and I have been in the lab putting some final touches on the album. I did a majority of the production on his album and Scott Storch produced one of his singles also. The first 2 singles/videos from Hammer are "Look" and "Get 2 Know U" which I produced. He also has a single called "Where You Get It From" which is featured at the end of the "Look" video. On the song "Where You Get It From", he's reppin Da Town and has big plans for it. I had the honor of producing a lot of single off the album. A lot of tracks were produced, recorded and mixed in my studio.

Hammer's definitely going to bring some of the spotlight back to the bay. With all his connections and plans, he's one of the few artists in a position to make it happen for the Bay. His new album will be filled with a lot of Versatyle slaps.

Call in KMEL, WILD 949, 97.7 KWIN and request "Look" and "Where You Get it From".

I'll give it up to hammer for still trying...and vers, the beat is aight...but I just don't see this going anywhere. its just hammer trying to be extra hard like that last album he did in 90something...the headhunter or something? Pumps & a bump had a great video, but only if you mute it.

he had a cd called active duty....
who was looking out for a new hammer album back then? shit, or even now... get to know the game? if following hammer is the game, then I don't wanna play.

noone is questioning his contributions to the bay or music, but his welcome was worn out. think about it, was it good to hear him on the team's remix, or just sad to see that his lyrics have not progressed whatsofuckingever. flame me if you want, but I will not be bumping any new hammer shit.

No knock on versatyle, the beat was coo, its just in this day and age hip hop needs to move forward. alot of classic artists who come back putting out albums actually step their lyrics up. shit, even too short has. he's the master of simplicity but now is putting more effort in his rhyming schemes and patterns, while still not going against the style he already mastered. Hammer is just sounding corny over a hard beat, plain & simple. he's still rapping like its the early 90s.

edit: Oh yeah, and a mini TBIB on Versatyle for getting the nod by scott storch. Storch is getting to be on the Dr Dre/lil Jon type level of if you have enough money you can buy a successful whole single from one of them. I can only hope that one day I could have that kind of success. I also would love for bay producers to get up to that "top producer" type stature
