Nerd Rappers: Fresh out of High School kids who buy gun magazines so they can talk better about the guns they've never shot. Also known to skilled at big words and metaphors in order to make treal niggas feel less of themselves for not understanding their complex rhymes. They're also known for constantly comparing themselves in the form of "I'm Like..." type rhymes. Example: "I'm like a plethora of Russian missles, penetrating your defensive tissue, Military issued wepontry, Read lesson B, if Lesson A aint official". They feel Canibus more than Tupac... and type they rhymes in a laptop... only battle on the net... and never in a circle on the blacktop!

Backpack rap & nerd rap are related but not exactly the same. Canibus is more backpack than nerd. Sometimes nerd rap is called art fag rap.

exactly....from my run-ins with that saying its seems to me that its rap that has ANY kind of intelligence. if you are too dumb to understand what they are saying,than they are nerds and make nerd rap. i think you have to be white to make nerd rap too,part of the criteria i think. i have heard alot of people call some of the artists i listen to nerd rap, all that does is make me look at them like idiots, pretty much dissin themselves,haha. its like saying " fuck books,all that reading and thinking,thats gay shit!"

so if you dont talk about guns,hoes and jewels and you use words with more than 8 letters than i guess you are considered a nerd.
