click that.. let it scan and it will tell you if you need to update your drivers.. if the bar at the top pops up install ActiveX

make sure your cords arent loose anywhere to that could be a problem...if not reformat..just back it up and format

what used to happen to me, my video card didnt like the newest driver for some reason. so i ran an older one and never updated.

download one that was from before, but has functionality with your card.

and take it out and clean the connections with a pencil eraser. blow any dirt off. and reconnect it.

if that doesnt work. im pretty sure your video card is crapping out. dont reformat yet! unless you have everything backed up. then order is arbitrary.

and also, the computer was a hand me down from my older brother, and he lost all the discs for it, so can i still reformat it without any of the computer disks?

^you honeslty should talk to dude at the place your buyin it.. he'll let you know.. because i dont know your computer specs. If i were to say "yea put that one in" and you did.. it might fry your computer and your card, because you might need to step up your power supply.. i think most computers only come with like a 200 watt supply when most cards need 300 or greater..
