well lets see.. in the playoffs, the spurs averaged 4.2 block per game and 7.7 steals per game. Pistons averaged 8 blocks per game and 8.1 steals per game. Spurs oppenents fg % was 45 and opponents ppg was 86. Pistons on the other hand only allowed 80 points per game at a 38% accuracy.
so yeah... average. just like I said.

I called that Detroit shit from day 1!! I picked Detroit to come out the East in the preseason!! Someone needs to find the hoop thread about this!! Most folks had either Indiana or Jersey!!! This will be the best finals in 4 years!! I can see Detroit pushin them to 7 games, but most likely L.A. will win it in 6!! GOT EM!!!

now let me point out that those stats for the spurs include them playing the LAKERS...which the pistons have yet to do.....they have been playing EASTERN conference teams....which we already know
i like the pistons..i think there team is hard ever since they got rasheed...but there comes a point where we must face reality.....the pistons defense is going to make up the huge void they have IN THEIR OFFENSE....even if they hold the lakers to less points then they are accustomed to scoring....they aren't going to be able to score enough points themselves.
pistons may beat the lakers one or two games...if they pull something out there ass maybe a third....but THEY CAN'T/WON'T BEAT THE LAKERS 4 OUT OF 7 GAMES.

i HATE the lakers. i'm happy the pistons got to the finals over pacers. the pacers were beat up, and jo'neal, and tinsly was hurt........it would of been 4 stright for l.a in 4 games......lol
BUT NOW.....
even though Detroit has no one to guard Kobe, THEY DO have 4 guys that can at least hang with Shaq. i think Elden Campbell is gonna be key becuase he is gonna have to guard shaq if any of the wallaces get in foul trouble. and Okur could be HUGE, cuz of his ability to pull shaq away from teh basket.
LET'S GO RIP !! and old azz payton can't post up billups cuz he's a bigger guard. i love it.........hopefully the Rasheed of Portland comes out this series, cuz if they do........David Stern will shit his pants......
