I feel ya, I think its the way tech emphasizes his rhymes or the way he spits them that make his multis stand out to me more than others perhaps, It just seems to me he is consistently throwing them in as opposed to other rappers
One of the things I like about Tech is he uses his unique flow and multies in a combined manner that makes BOTH flex harder. Where a lot of fast rappers just babble unrhyming bullshit quickly, Tech will create a two part rhyme scheme that's only possible due to his speed. He'll do a something like a triple, soft-voweled bit with one voice or flow quickly, then drop into a different voice where does a trisyllabic scheme, then repeat the structure like four times. If a letter represents a rhyme syllable, it looks like this:

aaa B. C. D!
aaa B. C. D!
aaa B. C. D!
aaa B. C. D!

Whereas most speed rappers are just

blahblahblahblahblahblah (A RHYME)
blahblahblahblahblahblah (A RHYME)

An example from Everybody Move is the spot where he rhymes a bunch with:

I'm a FREEBIRD (like LYNARD SKYNARD!)

Nice. I won't even claim that I know as much as some of you about rhyme structure, but before I got to this post I was going to say that it's not just how Tech rhymes, but also how he says the actual words...mixing up his tone and volume. (Oh wait, I still said it.)
Although I haven't listened to as much Twista (who can definitely spit), from what I have heard, he often sounds monotonous while doing his "speedy rapper kid" thing.

I agree. That's why the more you learn about hip hop, the more you realize that flow, lyrics, delivery, swag, content, and rhyming are all VERY different.

Like funky music, I don't really know all about the schemes and structures, but I KNOW Tech has ruined me for listening to other artists. His versatility is unmatched. He can change it up from song to song, verse to verse, line to line and even word to word.

An example of his that I like, is on Wheaties, how on his first verse he raps at three different speeds. Then his second verse he just crushes it at a fourth speed.

He always manages to blow me away.

I agree that he's ruined a lot of other artists for me. Most other people I like are either COMPLETELY different in style, East Coast artists, or niche artists like horrorcore cats. He definitely gets the most spins from me personally as far as specific MC's go.

He definitely stays in my rotation.

I have a 6 disc changer in my car, and it's filled completely with Tech N9ne.

AngHELLic, Absolute Power, Vintage Tech, Everready, Killer One, Killer Two.

I also have a single disc player in my car, and I'm either gonna put AngHELLic in that, and then reorder so MLK is in the right spot, or I'll put Vitiligo in it. I'm undecided as of now:ermm:

good input from both of you, i know what you guys are saying.

he not only switches up his speed, and overall delivery, but he will change his voice (an tone like stick said) like a solid example is god complex, where hes basically singing every other line.. i don't know any other rappers who do that shit.

and why you aint call me - "he told me he played you the industry is punks"
he drops his voice deeper but still flows like crazy.

also the way he dubs over his shit, he just spends so much time perfecting the song. off the top of the head example would on This Is Me, where hes singing "im a king im a clown im a g" and if you listen carefully hes also just talking over it.

its a bunch of the little things I have noticed from listening to him so much that like you guys said, it makes some rappers (not all) seem lazy and just weak shit..

Strange definitely uses TONS of dubs. Far more than most. Closest I would say as far as sing vast amounts of dubs to effect how a voice sounds or comes across, is Psychopathic. I know they don't compare in other ways, but they have some SICK vocals on a LOT of their music.

yea thats a great example of the tone change he uses all the time, the caps lock part how he says it so damn intense.. AND not to mention, its right on the drum pattern. He takes over the fuckin beat.
