i think Clyde coulda used two step as his lead single. that record was tough. I was really impressed with that song. It was mainstream type of song but it was still his style and it got the dancefloors popping. But i still got hope for Clyde if he made that type of record once he could do it again and Doing That was a tough record too. I think Fab gotta come with some more of the N.E.W. Oakland type of shit and he'll be straight.

40 would have never got that "second wind pimp" if it wern't for the youngsta's and the energy and visual that came along with the hype on Hyphy. 40 was honestly on his way out before he got on BLUE JEANS N NIKES, HYPHY, SUPER SICK WID IT and then he rode that formula all the way back to the top. I think he was smart for doing so because the country wasn't curious about 40 they were curious about this new thing that they had heard about called Hyphy. 40 being the only big name fixed in the Bay he recieved all of the spoils of it and now he is the last man standing in the hyphy era. Fab will NEVER come out on Atlantic. Clyde might come out, but if the Bay isn't poppin I don't think Capitol is going to give him the proper backing to become a household name. Keak is well...Keak and most people won't understand ANYTHING he is saying. The Bay is in a odd place stuck in Hyphy and trying to milk it for one more sipp, but the Bay also knows it needs to move on and focus on the TALENTED and not the GIMMICK GUYS.

Blue jeans, hyphy, and super sick wid it were never nationwide hits. they were songs on sirius radio and california stations only. tell me when to go got all the people on base but u and dat hit the grand slam for that record with the help of snap ya fingaz 2 non hyphy songs to gold status. in comparison to radio spins u and dat was a way bigger song as well. by the way u and dat is a RIAA certifield gold single and snap yo fingaz is certified platinum single. I believe 40 is a very versatile rapper who can do all styles and formats and still be him.
i totally agree with this...i mean seriously E-40 is one of the top rappers out the bay ever, and he still stay killin shit every album and feature...

how could fab and clyde single handedly blow it for the bay? first of all theyre not the entire bay, if bay music doesnt make it out there its because Alot of people arent making it for watever reason. Second, its not like theyve been slackers these past months FAB has stayed buzzin he dropped a street album did the royce battle and been droppin other songs while he's waiting for his CD to get be released. Clyde's probly been workin hard on his CD this whole time, He always says in interviews he doesnt wanna drop no bullshit album. From what ive seen theyve both grinded hard and thats why they got in the position to have deals and theyre still grinding.

THIS IS FAB TALKIN FROM MY LIL COUSIN PAGE THANK U GUYS FOR KEEPIN MY NAME POPPIN....
ME NOR CLYDE HAVE NOTHIN TO DO WITH THE BAY NOT BLOWIN WE R FROM OAKLAND,.....AN WE PUTTIN OUR CITY ON THE MAP...NO ONE IS DOIN WHAT IM DOIN BELIEVE IT..CHECK MY BANK ACCOUNT..IM AROUND THE WORLD BABY...STEP YA GAME UP U WEENIES.....ONE LOVE TO ALL THE TRUE FANS THAT KNOW THE REAL.
OH YEA WHOEVER POSTED THIS THREAD IS GAY ASS SHIT.....DONT BLAME US FOR YALL LACK OF SUPPORT...AN THE RADIO PICKIN WHO THEY WANT TO REPRESENT....
See the problem with EVERY bay area artist is that they think they Chicken Shit bank account means something. They makin crumbs and aint even making more money than the biggest dope dealers thats from the blocks they from. They compare they bank accounts to a nigga thats makin like 12 dollars a hour at a regular 9 to 5 and they are content with that.Thats why the bay will never be a big region again as far as its rap representatives. It aint nobody in the bay with the mindstate of a 50 cent or a T.I or a Luda or a Jay-Z or a Master P that is lookin at the Big Picture and not just settling for the local crumbs.Bay niggas get they little show money and a punk ass advance from a small time distribution company and think they on top of the world. With the amount of Exposure Fab has had in his career he could be capitolizing on it alot better.Dude been in major magazines,Mtv,Fox news and some mo shit yet his buzz is at a stand still. He probably has lost more fans in the last year than he have gained by gettin ethered by royce when he shoulda tried to CAPITOLIZE off of beating him in that 1st battle. He is no longer really relevant in the Bay as far as ppl anticipating his music.Dude had hits on the radio and now he has nothin. His last album came and went.In order for the bay to come back somebody has to start a potent MOVEMENT.Which nobody besides Mac Dre has been smart enough to do in the last 10 years.People support movements over individual artists.Faeva Afta Bread is not a movement its just a tiny imprint.I still care about Bay music and it would be coo 2 go outta town and hear my region being played and repped right on the radio but the problem is rappers dont Capitolize off the opportunitys they get. They just settle for they little benz and they new found pussy they gettin. If 50 did that he would still be a nigga strugglin after gettin shot and dropped by sony. The nigga started a movement before the shady deal. But that is my anecdote to why the bay will continue to fail.Thizz i think woulda been the label that coulda brung the bay back but Dre passed away and the niggas thats runnin it is only after a quick buck.
