The Bay as a whole blew it when they handed their YOUTH MOVEMENT to E-40 and 2Short. Not hating, but the game and the larger public had already decided they didn't really dig 40's rap style and that Short was a go to guy when you needed a pimp verse or someone to yell out BITCH...Had the movement stayed wih fresh faces as artist and maybe proven producers (Like E-A-Ski and Ric Roc for exsample) then the people would have been more interested. Because outside of here people were like "what's that going on in the Bay???" and then the second thought was, "Ohhh 40...I never did like his style." I like 40 and so does alot of Bay people, but the rest of the country never liked his style and him being the leader of the new school was good for an immediate buzz, but not for the long haul.

He got a deal with Koch and he was supposed to have an album out but it got pushed back to february (probably gonna get pushed back some more)

In the last 18 MONTHS these are the cities we've done PAID concerts at NEW YORK CITY 2X, BOSTON 2X, MIAMI, ORLANDO 2X, INDIANPOLIS,FT WAYNE, HAWAII, ANCHORAGE, MEMPHIS,OMAHA, ATLANTA 2X, HOUSTON 2X, TULSA, KANSAS CITY,TAMPA, WICHITA, DENVER 4X, CLEAVLAND 2X, RALEIGH, WASHINGTON DC, NORFOLK,CHICAGO, PHILLY, DETROIT 3X, MINNIEAPOLIS 2X, MILWAUKEE, EL PASO,ALBURQU CHAROLETTE, GREENVILLE SC, JAPAN, WINDSOR CANADA, BOISE 2X, SALT LAKE CITY 2X, MEXICO 3X, VANCOUVER CANADA, and I did not even get into the west coast dates in cali,oregon,washington,arizona, and nevada. 40 been doing shows in all those cities before the last album came out as well. You cant say that other regions dont fuck with 40 like that. 40 has 4 gold records and a platinum record. 40 SOLD more records in seattle alone then anybody did from the bay in 2007 worldwide indie or on a major.Further more he sold more records in the state of Michigan alone then any other bay release in 07. On my daughter,god,and everything I love there is a offer on the table right now for a 45 city world tour with only 8 of those dates on the west coast. When I say world im talking 6 cities in Europe, 5 in Canada, and 34 us dates. If people did not fuck with him outside the west then house of blues, AEG LIVE, AND LIVE NATION concert promoters would not invest there money into it.
The worlds favorite south rappers grew up on 40 Nitti,TI,LUDA,RICK ROSS, NELLY,GUCCI MANE,YOUNG JOC,JEEZY, AND GOODIE MOB. Just think when 40 was at his peak what did JIVE records do? They gave up on rap music and there urban department. 40 did not stop making great albums JIVE stoped being a great RAP record label. Rep your city was a nation wide hit song and jive fell a sleep on it. Before ghetto report card nobody in the industry at all gave a fuck about the bay anymore.
The truth is at the end of the day after 40 came out nobody followed with a HIT song period.The real question is with so many rappers in the bay why cant any1 else make a nationwide hit song?The blame is on everybody u cant just point the finger at clyde and fab there the ones who went and got deals. This time around people will be smart and piggy back off 40 new album coming out in 08 when he does it all again. The Ball street journal is going to do it again. The album is a fuckin problem with tremendous blaps on that bitch. you aint never heard a street fixture call him a sucka or a major rapper have problems with dude cuz hes well resprected in both communities. The only people agansit him in the yay are a few rappers and there friends! As a westcoast artist with no help from dr dre {eazye,ice cube,snoop,xzibit,game,tupac,dog pound} 40 has a lot of acomplishments and theres no way you can erase his history in the game. i dont care what nobody says you got to have some serious money behind you to make it big. clyde and fab are good artists but they arent gettin the push they need. i guarantee if they do come out with a major release the labels wont support them like they should.

why do it even matter if they come out major or not as long as they got distribution u can go buy they shit who cares if the bay goes mainstream or not as long as they keep droppin good music then support it regardless of the label they on
