Anyone else catch Shade 45 jokin' about Hammers new shit? Shit was kind of funny. They was basically sayin' that if they Bay wants to continue to be taken seriously they shouldn't "co-sign" for shit like that. Anyone else catch it?

Man let me say this, Hammer deserves no disrespect from anyone who truly claims the Bay as their home and loves hip hop. Hammer did a lot for the music as far as getting it out there to the mainstream. In hindsight, yeah he made some mistakes, but his impact should be respected and talked about in a positive light. He's not the first person to screw up financially and won't be the last. If anyone here who is old enough to know better, says they didn't like Hammer when he was at his peak you're a damn lie. Hammer is part of the history of the Bay Area. San Quinn said himself that the Bay does not properly embrace Hammer. Now, should he still be tryin' to make records? I say no, but that doesn't take away from my respect. Jordan shouldn't have come back either and Jerry Rice should have retired 3 years ago, but I still hold them in high regard. Tyson bit ears and tried to break peoples arms in the ring and he's still one of my favorites of all time. Hammer was the first rapper to sell 10,000,000 records. 10 million fuckin records!! Muhfuckas is hustlin to sell 10,000!!! 40's done 300K and we're hyphy about it. 10 million!!That in and of itself is worthy of respect. Keep it real, ya'll...Respect a living legend even when he falls!!

no one is saying they dont respect what he has done, or that they didnt like him when he was in his prime. all they are saying is that his time is up and he needs to stop now.

all i gotta say is back in the day he did his shit and did it right, everybody was slappin hammer, it was a different era, not everyone was on the gangsta/thug/mob/hyphy shit....rit now tho i'd say it's time to hang the shit up, but if i find his new shit used i'll cop it and give it a listen...i'm not about to go out and buy it new....this jus my opinion because i was around when he first came out in 89 and i respect the team at least givin him a verse on they're song....reminds me of his old shit.....2 cents comin from an ol skooler..
