It's not going to work if you're trying to over price yourself out of a fight when you said "He can have the lionshare, whatever he wants"...

Well he wants 2/3 of the pot.

If Pacquiao wins, he gets more in the rematch.

Why turn that down? This is after he said "we can fight for free" so obviously he's not trippin' off of the money, right?
That's all fine and dandy but you know damn well Top Rank handles Pacquiao, negotiates, etc and they won't accept 2/3 for Floyd, come on bro.

Why in the world would you go by the last fight? Is Pacquiao fighting Algieri again or would it be Mayweather? Pacquiao vs Bradley II did over 800k. Quite obviously you can't simply go by his fight against Algieri late November. Shoot, if Floyd didn't always fight on Mexican holidays his numbers would be down. we all know that.

Bottom line, once again, is the ONLY way either fighter can have the richest fight in history by far is fighting eachother. Takes two to tango. Or Floyd can fight Devon Alexander and see how his numbers are or Keith Thurman.
If Manny's last fight did 800K as Arum had hoped he would have translated that to a 45/55 split...he took a risk and it failed horribly...Mayweather shouldn't have to take a pay cut...Manny should "earn" a pay increase by beating Floyd in the first fight like Floyd did Oscar. Then get a better split like Marquez did to Manny but Arum ain't giving Marquez 50/50 and the Filipino Executioner Marquez damn near murdered Pacquiao.

70-30 isn't fair at all. 55-45 or 60-40. The reason for this is they need each other to pull off that pot. There is no other fighter Floyd can fight that will generate the interest and money. Same with Pac. But Pac did say he would fight for free and also said "whatever he wants." And Floyd also said Manny was next (twice) so what are we left with?

You're logic is so screwy. How would Floyd be taking a pay cut when it would be a historic purse for him?

As we've already discussed, the entire reason they fought in Macau was because they knew the Algieri fight wouldn't sell big. Arum even said this himself. Macau pays them crazy amounts of cash so it never mattered to them about low PPV sales.

again, bottom line - only Mayweather vs Pacquiao can shatter records. Only them two, period.

I don't even know what you're citing bro. Again with the clarity - post a link or QUOTE or something so we can know what ur talking about.
My post said Forbes list...what don't you understand? Me posting a link isn't gonna change your mind that Manny should earn his pay. Like Mayweather earned his against Oscar. The World's Highest-Paid Athletes List - Forbes

Yeah, don't focus on the PPV numbers as they are no longer a factor. No one knew who the fuck Algeirie was so it wasn't about hitting the numbers but getting a huge payday from the Chinese. He did 300k but look how much he made from the Casino. It was the right play.
Okay...ENOUGH WITH THE CHINESE CASINOS...if Manny has a guarantee of around $20 million pr fight and he fought 1 of those fights in China in 2013 against Rios and the other was against Bradley that's two fights for a reported total of $40 million. Manny endorsement money was just under $1 million total $41 million. Where is the Macau money I keep hearing about? If it is so lucrative why didn't Bradley insist on fighting in China to get a piece of that upfront money he had the belt? Why bring trash to China (Agieri and Rios) and not take Bradley?

Bradley couldn't insist on anything because the deal was not in place yet. Boxing just came to Macua last year. It's an emerging market and you have to understand, the fights weren't on PPV over there they were free and broadcast in like 200-300 million homes. And the main thing is you absolutely NEED Chinese fighters on the card and, moron what I read, they have that deal now. So a 300k buy fight, in which you pay minimal taxes is just as lucrative as a big ppv outing here. As for what I have read about the Rios fight, that fight in Macua was to test the market and I also read the venue for the Bradley fight had already been agreed on.

Where is this Macau money on Manny's earnings from the Chinese casinos it doesn't show up? How much did he get other than his initial $20 million wasn't taxed heavily like it is in the US?

Because you didn't explain AT ALL what the hell you were talking about. You just said Forbes list and dropped some numbers like I'm supposed to know what that means? I thought you were talking about a purse split or something.

BTW, Forbes list are merely celebrity gossip and should always be taken with a grain of salt. These guys literally don't know how much money an athlete has. The only people that do are their accountants. The only base their numbers on stuff that has been released to the media (ballpark guess).

Gate money and all of that has not been revealed yet but it will probably be in the 30 million realm which is where the Rios fight got him after you factored in PPV.

ETA: actually I read that his gate cut was around the 8-9 million mark and that the ppv money was low. I will see if I can find the link.

Because the Bradley fight projected to sell solid PPV numbers. And it did (over 800k). They don't need to fight in China when their getting in those kinds of PPV numbers. Again, when they project low numbers that's when they have gone to China.

There is tax in China but it's only about 12%, compared to 39.5% if he were to fight in Las Vegas. The casino's in Macau pay reportedly 8-10x more than the casino's in Vegas. That's a lot of money. Macau is much bigger than Vegas; they dwarf them in amount of earnings. Look:

The Chinese territory reported gambling revenue of 360 billion patacas ($45 billion) for 2013, an increase of almost 20% over the previous year. If that sounds like a lot of cash, it is. Las Vegas will be lucky to make $6.5 billion, or 15% of Macau's total.

Macau's gambling industry is now 7 times bigger than Vegas - Jan. 6, 2014

I was referring to his Casino money from the 1st fight with Rios. Because that was part of his $41 million total. He had 2 fights one with Rios the other with Bradley. How much did Manny get from Macau?

11 million for him. 8 million for the promo company. Then he gets a cut of the PPV money which made around 30 million and a cut of the gate which was a sold out place of around 12k. So the Forbes listing is most likely incorrect. And this was for the Rios fight. But like 206 said, the only people who truly know are the accountants. What we do know, however, is that in order to achieve their biggest purses both guys have to fight each other. And I read that Manny agreed to 60 million gurantee and didn't dispute a 100 million gurantee for Floyd but the thing is I don't know if it was from their past negotiations or recent.

Can I get a "link" to the Macau money that Pacquiao earned what's the reporting source?

Here is Usa today link that sheds some light on how much money was made but doesn't go intoning of the questions.

HBO: Pacquiao-Rios fight did about 475,000 PPV buys

I will keep checking my cache as I am sure I read what I read on this device.

I'll let you know something ahead of time while your searching for a definitive answer on how much Pacquiao MADE off of the Casino itself. Not the PPV numbers which are attributed to the American market...mind you China was looked at for the $5 phone subscriptions it would generate against its mass population and the upfront Casino money. So my question is not how much did Manny get from PPV money BUT how much did he get from the CASINO MONEY...which looks like he got zilch, nada, not one red cent? The original agenda by Arum was for Pacquiao to dwarf Floyd Mayweather's earnings with the Chinese market and that failed. So you can search but I doubt you'll find an answer.
