damn, haha, Mayorga WOOOOPED his ass!!!! I can't believe it went the distance. Mayorga basically destroyed him, but he did get tired towards the end though and for a minute there I thought Vargas was going to come back, but nah. Wasn't even close. Entertaining fight though.

BTW, WTF was up with on judge having it a draw?? what fight was he watchin, bullshit

Very entertaining fight...at least, compared to what I expected.

Easily a Mayorga win...Vargas looked sluggish until about the 7th, and even then, would fall back into the slow moving, soft punching Vargas from earlier on.

Mayorga earned this win, but he shouldn't think about contending with the top tier in his division; he'd get killed.

Vargas really should retire (he did), because his weight issue is a problem, and he's taken too many big shots to the head.

I got drunk at the casino bar watching this shit...couldn't have been better; I got to watch a very entertaining fight on one screen, and Boise State get beat up on another.

What a life...

vargas got a back problem and mayorga is a front runner (good for 6 rounds) takes all the punches on his head. so in the end i see vargas winnining it but i'm rooting for mayorga just to laugh.
biggest surprise about this fight is mayorga lasted 12 rounds. vargas fought like he was only half the man he is. call it a bad night or just the weight loss. whatever. he hasn't looked too good against the top fighters he's fought.

In a rare showing of humility and sportsmanship Ricardo Mayorga took the first opportunity during the post “BRAWL” press conference to approach his opponent Fernando Vargas and raise his hand in unity and declare “warrior, courageous!” Mayorga then proceeded to get on his knees in front of Vargas and apologize for the pre fight antics and outrageous verbal outbursts that have come to be the norm in the promotion of his fights
